We go again!! Hold tight ravers, we (women) are taking over DT Radio for IWD2022!
International Women’s Day is a day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women across the globe. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender equality. A huge amount of activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women’s achievements or rally for women’s equality.
Each year on March 8th, International Women’s Day (IWD) is one of the most important days of the year for people to:
- celebrate women’s achievements
- raise awareness about women’s equality
- campaign for gender equality
- fundraise for female-focused charities
The first IWD gathering was held in 1911 and the day belongs to all women everywhere!
To celebrate IWD2022 we are taking over the airwaves on DT Radio with some fine selectors and top DJs! Kicking off at 6am (GMT) on Tuesday 8th March and going right through to 7am on Wednesday we will have some amazing mixes from all the women who are currently residents of our radio station and a couple of exclusive mixes.
We will be bringing you Disco from Lisa Jane, House and Tech House from PØPTRT, Jess Pond, Adrianna, Bambi Rambo, Laura Dean, Paige Renée, Helen and Camden Cox. Then we will be switching it up with some Breaks, Jungle and Drum & Bass with Madame Electrifie, MEL, Natty Lou and J-Zed. We’ll have Deep Tech and Melodic Techno from Sami Kubu, Blanka Barbara and Blanca Ross before the Techno kicks in from Ari Danae, Karistocat and Simina Grigoriu!
