The Beatport Group Announces Third Annual Diversity + Parity Fund

Share

The Beatport Group, a global leader in music for DJs, producers, and fans, is excited to announce that applications are now open for the third annual Diversity + Parity Fund. This initiative is designed to support organizations that champion diversity and equity in the dance music industry. With a fund of $150,000, Beatport reaffirms its commitment to amplifying the voices of underrepresented groups and fostering a more inclusive music ecosystem.

Following the success of last year’s fund—which awarded grants to impactful organizations such as Saffron, We Are Moving The Needle, One Off Traks, Change The Beat, Other Village People, and Last Night A DJ Saved My Life—this year’s fund will once again provide financial backing, marketing, and editorial support to help recipients expand their efforts.

Additionally, $10,000 has been allocated to a special IMS Ibiza Fund to assist young artists in attending the summit in 2025. You can join the waiting list for more information.

Diversity + Parity

“At Beatport, we believe that fostering a more inclusive music industry is essential to its continued evolution and success. Through our Diversity + Parity Fund, we aim to empower those working at the grassroots level to help shape a more inclusive future in electronic music. We’ve been honored to support incredible initiatives over the past two years and watch them grow and make a real impact. We look forward to seeing the impact this year’s recipients will make.” – Sofia Ilyas, Chief Community Officer of The Beatport Group.

The fund provides financial support and visibility to organizations addressing diversity and inclusion in electronic music. As in previous years, recipients will be selected through an application process, with grants ranging from $3,000 to $15,000, accommodating both grassroots initiatives and larger-scale organizations. Alongside financial grants, Beatport will also offer editorial exposure and marketing support to amplify the work of each recipient.

The application process opened on 3rd October 2024 and will close on 31st October 2024, at 11:59pm GMT. For more information and submission guidelines, please visit www.beatportal.com/fund.
