Dutch up and comer EM@IL drops ‘Sunbeam / Pink Blossom’ via Motive Audio

Share

Brighton-based Motive Audio is back with another quality release, bringing their signature rolling, techy Drum & Bass vibes. This time, they’ve got Dutch talent EM@IL stepping up with a slick two-tracker, ‘Sunbeam / Pink Blossom’, that’s all about style and substance.

EM@IL, real name Emiel, is a 24-year-old producer and DJ from Amersfoort in the Netherlands – a country that lives and breathes electronic music. Growing up in such a vibrant scene, it wasn’t long before he got stuck into DJing and learning the ropes on FL Studio. Fast forward a few years, and he’s already making waves with a release on Four Corners Music last year and regular DJ bookings that keep him sharp behind the decks.

First up, ‘Sunbeam’ kicks things off with precision. Sharp percussion cuts through a silky, dub-infused backdrop, packed with jungle vibes and dub sirens for good measure. The track builds beautifully, teasing darker, more menacing energy as it progresses. It’s a proper stepper, perfect for setting dance floors alight with high-energy vibes.

Then there’s ‘Pink Blossom’, which takes a more atmospheric route. It eases you in with crisp drums, smooth synths, and a hint of eerie sonar. A dreamy vocal comes through, giving off early Perez or Jubei vibes, before the track locks into a tight roll-out. Murky stabs and clean snares tie it all together, making it a real head nodder.

With this release, EM@IL shows he’s got the skills and sound to make a big impact in the scene. Motive Audio, as always, stays ahead of the curve, championing fresh talent and keeping things exciting for Drum & Bass heads everywhere.

Today we premiere ‘Sunbeam’ which you can check out below. The release drops on Monday 19th January, you can get your hands on a copy here!
