Headroom lands on Four Corners Music

Share

For Four Corners Music‘s 27th Release they welcome newcomer Headroom, taking us well and truly into the grimey corner of jump up.

Jack Stokes aka Headroom is a 23 year old Drum & Bass producer hailing from Sheffield, UK. He’s a resident for Rave and Raise and Bassbox Nightclub, specialising in Jungle and rollers from across the spectrum. His tracks, generally encapsulate a darker sound and have been gaining traction within the scene. Receiving support from heavy hitters such as Klinical, IndiKa, Degs, Melinki, Mistik and Banner.

Kicking his ‘Now I See’ EP off with ‘Vessel’, Headroom sets the tone of the EP straight from the off. Tight, minimal, rolling beats with a big disgusting bassline. Pure Danger! Up next is the title track and our premiere, ‘Now I See’. Unique vibes on this one, tight jungle shuffles with an infectious bassline that will stick in your head all day. For the 3rd track, we have ‘Fading’, delving deeper into the dark side of Headroom but still with those trademark tight beats, catchy vocal sample and big dutty sub.

Finishing off the EP with possibly the biggest heater of the bunch ‘Survival’ has been doing the business on live streams right across the scene. Headroom has definitely carved out his own sound and style with this EP and we are big fans, we can’t wait to see him progress and hopefully hear these outrageous basslines on a big rig soon.

Check out our premiere of ‘Now I See’ below. The EP drops on Four Corners Music on 21st September as a Beatport exclusive!
