If you’ve ever felt the vibe at The Temple at Glastonbury Festival, you’ll know it’s something else. As the sun rises, that energy becomes unmistakable. This latest Jungle banger from Paper Dragon and Chez is a nod to rave culture, paying homage to those who paved the way and those who’ll carry it forward. Chez’s ethereal vocals layer perfectly with raw, intense energy, while the deep bass and aggressive drums give it a driving edge. This one’s for the heads – Jungle and Drum & Bass at its best. Festival-goers are already hyped to hear this track at The Temple next year!
Paper Dragon is thrilled to welcome Chez, a DJ and songwriter on the rise from Gloucester (UK), into the fold. Chez has been making her mark on the scene, working with Dazee, Euphonique, and the Ruffneck Ting crew. She’s got releases on Gorilla Warfare with Kravitz and on DeVice with Virtue, plus performances at Nozstock, Volksfest, Lakefest, The Bog 360 XL, and Run All Day – not to mention sets on SWU and Kool FM.
Together, Paper Dragon and Chez have been working on a fresh live show, spanning the collective’s genre-blurring back catalogue, with Chez leading the charge. They’ve been refining the performance at Paper Dragon Presents in Bristol, which puts live electronic sets front and centre.
Paper Dragon are carving out their own space with innovative, high-quality dance music. They’re making waves by blending classic sounds with a modern twist on Jungle and Drum & Bass. This acclaimed Bristol-based collective, made up of core members Bruce Turner, Kris Burton, and Jonathan Savage, brings years of high-end production experience, collaborating with legends like U2, Kate Bush, Massive Attack, Rick Rubin, Brian Eno, Underworld, KOAN Sound, TC, Distorted Minds, Mura Massa, NAO, Mount Kimbie, and Fred V & Grafix.
Their solid footing in bass music is backed by industry recognition, from their track ‘Reach’ snagging BBC Radio 1’s Coldest Record with Jeremiah Asiamah and Hottest Record with Clara Amfo to My Nu Leng dropping their recent track ‘Holding On’ at Love Saves the Day. Their collaboration with Grafix, ‘Forget the Rain’, has racked up over 1.7 million Spotify streams, with heavy support from BBC Radio 1 and KISS FM, while ‘Be Free’ is closing in on 2.1 million streams. It’s a strong rise for this talented electronic crew.
