5 Facts
My real name is Luke Gardiner. More than a few times in my career, European promoters have translated my stage name, Gardna, into a ‘grower’ of some sort and tried to offer me large proportions of the devil’s lettuce. It’s hilarious and very generous, but I don’t even smoke (or grow, for that matter). It’s a thing.
I’ve been going to Glastonbury Festival for 22 years, and I’ve been performing for the last 10 years straight. It’s my spiritual home.
I fell asleep on the floor of Ibiza airport after a big night out. I went straight to the airport and very nearly missed my engagement party. Mrs. was fuming, but I’m just about forgiven.
I am also a massive foodie. I’m in a little food club (just for fun) with some fellow Bristol muckers. It’s me, food influencer Bos Finesse, house producer GotSome, and our lovely girlfriends. We go out, enjoy, and rate the best gaffs in Bristol quite regularly. I love it.
I am gonna start my own day festival. Watch this space…
5 Tracks
Gardna – Good Time Not A Long Time (ft. Omar) (Watch The Ride Remix)
This is a tune I did with Watch the Ride (Die, Dismantle and Randall), and soul icon Omar. To work with these guys meant the world to me then and means the world and more to me now. I know Randall loved this one as much as I did. Rest in Peace to the R. DJ Randall Forever.
Pola & Bryson – Tell You What I Did (ft. Zitah)
Something about this tune. Upfront funky rave banger, I always dedicate this one to the women in the dance; we’d be Nowhere without them. Big up the ladies.
Joy Orbison – Hyph Mngo (Friction Bootleg)
One of my favourite tunes from teenage years gets a re-rub from DNB royalty Friction. So good this and kicks off in the dance
OKO – Abduction
Bit of a southwest wobbler this one. She’s from near where I grew up, I reckon. Shine a bit of light on the southwest gang doing bits. This one’s in every set in a minute; great double dropper.
A-Sides – One DJ
Banger this, first heard it on Digi Soundboy Fabric live and i’ve loved hearing it in sets over the years. Proper roller. I met A-Sides in a bar in Dubai once (probably one of the only places in Dubai at the time to get a pint) typical of me two english DNB artists to find that.
Catch Gardna, along with Charlie Tee, Dimension, Charlotte Plank, Clipz, Lens and many more this Sunday in Peterborough. Grab your tickets here.
