Dilby returns to Mother Recordings

Share

Dilby’s last solo EP on Mother Recordings was huge on all fronts. Dominating charts and streaming as well as being served up by everyone from Claptone to Boysnoize at the biggest clubs and festivals around the globe. It goes without saying that we are excited for more of the same with his latest dancefloor delivery.

Mother welcome back Dilby, their homie from New Zealand who is now based in Berlin, for a banging new EP. From a young age, Dilby has been obsessed with hunting and collecting music and has always been passionate about sharing these treasures with others. This is evident in his DJ sets which span genres and create an infectious groove on the dance floor. Dilby was first introduced to underground electronic music through the rave scene of the 90’s. His excitement and passion for everything house grew until he began DJing in early 2001. Since then he has not looked back and continues to grow and evolve his sound and skills on the decks.

Our premiere ‘Hold Out’ opens up the EP all guns blazing with a chunky drum groove, a big piano riff and a powerful female vocal. This energetic house anthem is guaranteed to lift the roof off any club!

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
