Share

The boys are back in town!

Label head Nhan Solo and Mother Recordings regular Dilby are back at it with another dynamite collaboration to start the year off with a bang! The combine on ‘Work’ which is coming out on the aforementioned Mother Recordings on Friday 26th February.

Berlin-based DJ/Producer and label owner Nhan Solo set off on his mission for dominance of the Deep House music scene in 2012. In the 4 years that have followed, his enterprise Mother Recordings has provided the perfect haven for him. Over the years he’s brought on like-minded musicians to showcase their talents. It’s a healthy bunch of friends, artists and creative heads. Their individual life stories and experiences help to shape a very personal vision of contemporary House music. We’ve been a big fan for a while!

Originally from New Zealand, Dilby is taking the world by storm with his unique Deep and Tech infused sound. Dilby’s passion for electronic music is evident in the creative and innovative sound coming from his studio. Crafted from a classic house and techno pallet but presented with a fresh modern twist. His original sound is rich, warm and aimed squarely at the dancefloor.

Our premiere, ‘Work’ is a feel-good house record with the bounce and groove dial turned all the way up. Infectious drums and a catchy vocal hook demand attention and pulsing bass line dominates the low end.

Known for exploring different shades of house music, Dilby turns in a deeper dub version of ‘Work’. Here he subdues the vocal and strips back the drums with a modern-retro twist, while maintaining the warmth and energy of the original.

We premiere ‘Work’ on Data Transmission, check it out here and grab it here.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
