Skeffington and the Pawsox

Skeffington and the new Pawsox ownership group are trying to take RI'ers for a ride. They claim they'll pay the $85M to build a new stadium in Providence but they want the taxpayers of the state to pay them $120M over 30 years -- $4M/yr. They claim with the projected increase in tax revenue -- and those projections are likely rosier than reality will be -- it will "only" cost us $2M/yr. If Skeffington and his crew want our money then that makes us investors.  Investors invest to make a profit, not to lose money. Losing $2-4M/yr for 30 years is a poor investment. Politicians should tell these guys to go find another sucker somewhere else.
