Mark Cuban Gets It
I know I'm prejudiced and I know I'm bigoted in a lot of different ways. [...] None of us have pure thoughts; we all live in glass houses.
~Mark Cuban
Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks, was at a conference in Nashville and was asked about Donald Sterling's situation, among other things. He made a number of smart comments, but to me this one carried the most truth. Everyone is prejudiced in one way or another. Sterling is being forced to sell his team effectively because he voiced his prejudices. Cuban notes how foolish this is in the interview when asked how you keep prejudice out of the NBA.
You don't. There's no law against stupid. I'm the one guy who says don't force the stupid people to be quiet — I want to know who the morons are.
If only more people had Cuban's intelligence.
