Lesser of the Evils

I believe that voting for the lesser of two evils in game theory will always leads to more evil

That was Jillette's response to a Sean Hannity question in which Hannity pushed Jillette on his support for Gary Johnson, questioning that if Jillette votes for Johnson, someone Hannity thinks can't win, would it not be a 1/2 vote for Obama. What Jillette notes is what more people should pay attention to -- that when we're presented with 2 less-than-ideal candidates, which we're likely to have this election, we should be voting based on the merits of the candidate, not our desire to "win", or the idea of this candidate will do less harm than another. And if we never voted for candidates like Johnson because some pinhead tells us he can't win, then it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
