Luciano Esse has been a staple of the underground techno scene for over three decades. From his early days shaping Italy’s electronic music landscape to his long-standing regular appearances at clubs like fabric, The End, and Space Ibiza, his influence runs deep. A DJ, producer, and event curator, Esse has played a crucial role in pushing techno’s evolution while maintaining his signature sound—raw, hypnotic, and immersive.

Q: Sum up this podcast in 10 words…

A: Driving beats, groovy rhythms, intense energy, underground dancefloor vibes.

Q: What’s your personal favourite track on it?

A: My favourite tracks is “Game Off”, which is one of the tracks included in my EP on Beard Man called “Still Moving”.

Q: What’s the special ingredient in this mix?

A: The special ingredient in my mix is the continuous groove I focus on building, carefully blending each track to maintain that flow, so listeners can have fun from start to finish without losing the vibe.

Q: Tell us about your next EP?

A: “Still Moving EP” is my way of capturing that raw, unstoppable energy, the kind that keeps you going, no matter what. It’s a journey through grooves, deep percussions and a vibe that flows without interruption. Every track is crafted to pull you into that space where the rhythm takes over, letting you lose yourself in the beat. It’s about feeling that constant movement, staying locked in and never slowing down. It’s me, channeling my love for groove and the vibe that just keeps moving.

Q: What have you got coming up?
A: I’ve got a series of releases dropping soon on some labels I’ve always respected and admired. First of all the one on Mark Broom’s label Beard Man. After so much time spent in the studio, pushing myself to create something real, I’m finally seeing all that effort pay off. I can’t wait for everyone to hear what’s been brewing!

Q: And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?

A: Hope everybody will enjoy my release on Beard Man and the mix I’ve recorder for you. Thanks!
