Mendo releases his ‘Diva’ on Clarisse

Share

Nobody’s holding down Clarisse’s do-it-all DJ, producer and boss Mendo, telling the summer to come and get some with new track ‘Diva’.

One of the underground’s most requested remixers – Danny Tenaglia, Steve Lawler, Nina Kraviz, Monika Kruse, Damian Lazarus among his elite club customers. Mendo has stamped his style across some of the best electronic music labels going. From Hot Creations to Desolat, Circus to Moon Harbour, Elrow to Toolroom or Saved, all have taken delivery of hot stuff from the four-deck specialist who celebrated his 20th anniversary in the game with a series of special commemorative events last year.

Mendo’s career has thrived on the excitement ‘to produce a song, then play it in front of thousands of people and make them hysterical.’ ‘Diva’ is no exception, and it’s a fierce ruling one at that. With one of Clarisse’s characteristic body-popping basslines heaped in groove and equally determined to keep on ’til the break of dawn, ‘Diva’ flash dances its way into drawing a circle of smiling faces around the dancefloor, descending on the DJ in a chorus of chanted builds. A casually cool, street corner sax riff, setting off car alarms on the breakdown to bring a moment of calamity to lose it by, is the clincher that forecasts both Mendo and Clarisse will carry on living la ‘Diva’ loca this year.
