Share

Poker Flat Recordings drops three new heaters from Reset Robot – the alter ego of UK producer, engineer and DJ Dave Robertson.

Producer, engineer and DJ extraordinaire Reset Robot is the alias of Dave Robertson, an accomplished artist based in Portsmouth on the south coast of the UK. Since launching the pseudonym in 2009 he has travelled the globe, DJing at many of the world’s most influential clubs and festivals, as well as rolling out a slew of well-received productions on labels such as Drumcode, Mobilee, Hotflush and his own platform Whistleblower Records.

His new EP ‘Tired Voice’ dials into his signature brooding sound, but also finds some new unexplored nuances, check it out below and grab it here.

In this video I was joined by Techno producer & DJ Reset Robot, he delved deep into music production techniques, gave thoughts on hardware vs software, explained how he gets signed to the big Techno labels such as Steve Bug’s Poker Flat Recordings, how to cut through the noise of the music industry and loads of producer advice along the way!

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
