Huxley teams up with Skapes for ‘Electronic Drums’ EP

Share

Following on from their 2017 collaborative EP ‘Don’t Call’ on Green Velvet’s Relief imprint, Huxley and Skapes combine once again with their ‘Electronic Drums’ EP on  Solardo’s label Söla.

With a stream of releases on the likes of Moon Harbour, Avotre and Josh Butler’s Origins Rcrds in the past 12 months alone, Huxley has continued to solidify his position as one of house music’s leading talents, whilst rising DJ/producer Skapes has quickly emerged as ‘one to watch’ with material on Armada Subject, ABODE and more.

Title cut ‘Electronic Drums’ kicks off proceedings as organic percussion shots and infectious vocal hooks and over on the flip, ‘Say Nothing’ keeps the tempo and energy levels high.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
