We’re excited to premiere ‘Tengo Sed,’ one half of the electrifying new EP from pspsps, dropping on January 10, 2025, via This Ain’t Bristol. Known for his ability to blur the lines between bass and tech house, pspsps once again delivers a track packed with dynamic grooves, vibrant energy, and a unique touch of live instrumentation.

‘Tengo Sed’ showcases pspsps’ roots and the influence live music has had on his evolution as an artist. Dominated by live trumpets, the track is further enhanced with rich keys and sharp guitar licks, creating a fresh and immersive listening experience. It’s a perfect representation of pspsps’ ability to craft music that resonates on both emotional and physical levels, igniting dancefloors wherever it’s played.

The flip side, ‘Upside Down,’ takes listeners on a journey through Toronto’s underground after-hours scene. With heavy bouncing basslines and gritty synths dominating the soundscape, the track captures the raw energy of late-night adventures, offering a taste of the sounds that keep the city alive long after the bars close.

Mike, better known as pspsps, is an artist with a remarkable journey. Starting as a classically trained pianist before picking up the guitar and forming a band, his creative evolution led him to electronic music production, where he took on every role—drummer, bassist, lead, vocalist, and synth designer.

Drawing inspiration from Toronto’s vibrant underground nightlife, pspsps emerged in 2024 with a sound that pushes boundaries and connects with audiences on a visceral level. From a viral underground rave in Toronto’s subway system to performing aboard the FriendShip cruise, pspsps is as bold and innovative as his music.

As 2025 unfolds, pspsps is set to dominate club and festival stages across North America, continuing to deliver unforgettable live experiences with his explosive sound.

“With ‘Tengo Sed,’ I wanted to highlight my roots and the influence live music has had on my sound. The live trumpets, keys, and guitar licks bring a human touch that I think really stands out. On the other hand, ‘Upside Down’ reflects the energy of Toronto’s after-hours scene. It’s gritty, raw, and bass-heavy—a tribute to the music that keeps the city going long after last call.”

This Ain’t Bristol have announced that the South African genius and certified lad Kyle Watson is releasing his debut album with the Berlin-based label, titled ‘Into The Morning’.

The label sent this statement with the news “Let’s talk about the magic of these wee small hours in the morning when the whole world is fast asleep. Isolated from society in the most peaceful, almost unreal bubble that eliminates any pressure – even if only for the moment. No matter if you’re alone in the studio, trembling back home in silence from a great night out with your gang, or lying in the grass and chatting away with a newfound love while the sun hits sail. Breathe in, close your eyes and hold tight to the moment – make it last.

This is Kyle Watson’s debut album ‘Into The Morning’. Orchestrated in countless hours between dusk and dawn, taking him on adventures into new creative territories. The outcome: ten versatile tracks including amazing collaborations and mind-blowing features arising from his very own intimate playground, showcasing his demand to continuously master his craft and broaden his musical horizon. We, Kyle Watson fans from day one, are very proud of his development and can’t express how grateful and excited we are to be able to unveil this masterpiece to you lovely people.”

After multiple singles on This Ain’t Bristol, it was only right to get the prolific British producer with an alias of German heritage – Weiss finally released a full EP.

While his recent track, ‘Feel My Needs’ on Toolroom is still topping the charts and was crowned ‘Hottest Record In The World’ on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show recently, the ‘Bergerac / Chicken Dinner’ EP has hit the Beatport store today delivering two absolute thumpers perfectly fitting into the festival season we all love so much. Already getting strong support from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 we’re excited to see if he can do it again.

Weiss says about the EP “I’d been working on these tracks for a couple of days and immediately knew I had to send them to This Ain’t Bristol when the were finished. With “Bergerac” I wanted to do a tuff groove but include some type of horn section to show my disco roots and with “Chicken Dinner” on the other hand started with this fun vocal I’d found and then I needed to add toughness to it.”

We premiere ‘Bergerac’ today for you, grab a copy here.
