Markus Homm is a veteran of the house and tech scene, and a regular fixture at some of the scene’s foundational venues such as Berghain.
He started DJing and producing in the early 00s and has been consistently busy since, releasing on labels like 8Bit, Diynamic and Poker Flat, and diversifying into live performance with the Highgrade Disharmonic Orchestra alongside Tom Clark, Todd Bodine, Dale and Daniel Dreier.
The ever-prolific Sublease Music puts out another sublime release, this time handing the floor to the combined talents of Markus Homm, Brad Brunner and AG Swifty.
Markus Homm is a veteran of the house and tech scene, and a regular at some of the scenes foundational venues such as Berghain. His collaborators might have less experience, but bring a whole new flavour to the cooking pot.
“Connected not only through being part of the same booking agency in Romania (Cyclic) but also through the love for grooving underground Music, we ended up in the Studio In Bukarest for a few days working on some music. This is the outcome of the session, grooving percussion with the rolling baseline and warm chords and stabs,“ says Homm.

Well, I made this mix for you on the last days of my Australian / Thailand Tour so it pretty much sums up a bunch of tracks I’ve been playing over the last few weeks.
What’s your personal favourite track on it?
Difficult to pick just one but I would say the Michel Cleis – Sassicaia Track. It’s an older track on Cadenza that I recently found in my vinyl collection and started to play it again.
What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
As I mentioned before it’s a combination of tracks I have recently been playing. I selected tracks which hopefully make for a nice listening experience at home, work or in your car:)
Tell us about your next EP?
My next EP is a A Long Time Coming EP on Valiant Records. A label from Australia run by two friends Jacob & Tom. I play one track from that EP called ‘Again’ in the mix.
What have you got coming up?
I have a few remixes coming for now, for a track from James Cole. Then I did a remix together with Mihai Popoviciu for Manjumasi Records, a US label. I also have new material in the works. I was pretty busy till now with the release of my album in November 2022 and the EP on Sublease in the Previous Month.
