Matthias Tanzmann announces new single ‘Lobo’

Share

It is time for Moon Harbour‘s main man Matthias Tanzmann to take centre stage with ‘Lobo’, his first new solo cut for a while.

This new outing comes after a series of big collaborations with the likes of Steve Bug, Francisco Allendes and Black Circle as well as new remixes of Rony Seikaly’s ‘Bad Boy’s’ feat. Diddy’ and Dennis Cruz’s ‘So Sweet’. Next to that, Matthias continues to A&R for this label, which remains right at the forefront of the underground more than 20 years after he co-founded it.

On ‘Lobo,’ Matthias does what he does best: crafts a fat, compelling groove that is sprinkled with dynamic toms and underpinned by an irresistible bassline. Plenty of deft studio tricks add the detail, from the drum fills to the twisted little synth motifs via a Spanish vocal that becomes a freaky hook. Fresh chords come in at the breakdown to add extra colour as the intensity builds. After a signature drop, this warm and vivid house cut is in full flow and is sure to have global dance floors locked in for the ride.

‘Lobo’ proves once more that Matthias Tanzmann is in a class of one when it comes to driving and dynamic house tracks that pack a characterful punch.

We premiere ‘Lobo’ on Data Transmission, check it out below and grab it here.
