Fancy a night out in Berlin this weekend but can’t spare the time to head over to the German capital? Well you’re in luck as two of Berlin’s best institutions are teaming up with Unleash for one incredible night of debauchery, glitter and confetti in London this Friday.

If you’ve ever partied in Berlin then you’ll know about the epic events thrown by these two party powerhouses, Renate and Kater. Wild, avant garde with incredible music, this is the first time the two labels host a joint showcase in London, and you definitely won’t want to miss out. Especially as it’s in the perfect venue, The Islington Metal Works, which is as crazy as the hosts.

For those who haven’t had the pleasure of attending a party by these guys you’re in for a treat. You may normally head for Berghain, Watergate or Chalet but this is where you should be going on your next trip.

Salon Zur Wilde Renate: An unrenovated apartment building in Friedrichshain, across the river from Treptower Park. Renate is a multi-floor, multi-room club that seems a little different every time you go. There are three main dance floors—one on the ground floor, two upstairs—but which one functions as the main room changes from night to night. The atmosphere is that of a theatrical house party. Music is usually house and tech house, most often by Berlin-based artists. A large outdoor courtyard is open during the summer, which includes a long wooden cabin with another bar, DJ booth and dance floor.

Katermukke: was born from renowned club Katerholzig now reopened as Kater Blau

Run in part by Christoph Klenzendorf, one of the main figures behind Bar25, KaterHolzig is a large indoor/outdoor club on the Spree in Kreuzberg. Much like Bar25, the outdoor section includes a dance floor in a wooden, cabin-like structure, plus a variety of places to sit near the water. The indoor section of the club is a medium-sized dance floor with large windows looking into the courtyard. The building has many smaller rooms as well, some of which are occasionally open for parties. KaterHolzig is open all year on both Fridays and Saturdays (plus some weeknights), and parties usually last through the daytime. There’s also a fairly high end restaurant called Katerschmaus on the top floor of the club.
