Novation Announce Bus Station

What’s that old line? You wait for one bus for hours and all of a sudden it dawns on you you have far too much MIDI equipment. Help is at hand however: tech pioneers Novation have released a dedicated soundcard with three USB ports, RCA inputs, and separate headphone jacks. In English? It’s a centralised hub which means you can plug in your laptop, your MIDI controllers, analogue gear and even your Ipad.

Why does this turn DT on? By having one centralised hub, bedroom producers and established pros alike can continue to blur the line between DJing and live performance. Plus, having all the action centred on one box makes those hungover-Sunday studio set-ups that bit easier. There’s no official release date yet, nor is there a price but we no Novation, and normally they play fair on the cash front. Here’s hoping – we may finally start using that synth we bought at the beginning of the summer…….
