Israeli producer Shlomi Aber has long been considered a potent force within the worlds of house and techno, so much so that his Be As One imprint has risen in conjunction with his own career to be one of the scene’s most lauded such labels. His most recent outing for the label is a real delight, as Aber reminds us – in no uncertain terms – of his pedigree for churning out top class tech-house especially.

The music is proof of the fact too. A bumper-packed rollercoaster of a ride, it features 2 tracks, both of which are notable for their up-tempo and hypnotic capabilities. The first of these is the ominously titled ‘’O.D’’. Full of zest and curious little beats, it meanders at a steady pace that’s full of hidden charms. Crafted with big rooms in mind, it’s a veritable wonder of a track that’s stuffed to the brim with high-class vibes.

Whereas the latter made smart use of some unusual sounds, ‘’Helter Skelter’’goes one better still thanks to its onslaught of off-kilter nuances. Sure to go down a hit with Latin DJs a la Villalobos et al, it’s an epic sounding jaunt that’ll play out well in the Balearics especially, thanks in the main to its tendency to transcend genres. With two tracks on show here, Aber’s latest fix is a triumph for both himself and his long-standing label.
