Intrigue Music are ready to drop their celebratory ‘Intrigue 20’ LP

Share

Celebrating 20 years of Intrigue Music, the home to all things soulful drum & bass from the heart of Bristol, they present ‘Intrigue 20’ – the 10th annual compilation covering the full spectrum of the Intrigue sound. They are kicking things off with label boss Ben Soundscape‘s contribution ‘Ghetto Fabulous’ which packs an infectious groove and rolling percussion as it demonstrates full rude boy credentials. Big bad bass for the dancefloor.

For the latest edition of this notable series, Ben Soundscape has selected tracks from artists well-known to fans of the label, along with some inspirational new additions.

Lynx makes his debut for Intrigue Music, delivering a tune that’s reminiscent of his ‘Raw Truth’ era productions. With Lynx and his music being a big part of the early years at Intrigue events, his collaboration with Jakobi, ‘Golden Ticket’, makes the perfect start to this special anniversary compilation.

The album also includes the specially commissioned Myth remix of Ben Soundscape’s own ‘See a Shadow’. Bringing the track up to date for the 2023 dancefloor, this bass heavy rework lets that trademark Myth sound shine with crisp drums and a big bottom end.

Always keen to support new talent Intrigue is proud to include ‘Just Hold On’ from Lilac, a resident at Intrigue in Bristol who has recently started to release music and Dan Structure whose track ‘Blue’ was the perfect fit for this album – look out for his next single on Intrigue Music following on from this album.

International artists Joakuim, Alibi, Knowmans and Jaybee are joined by Intrigue regulars Mosaic, Lurch, Octo Pi, Creatures, Bipolar and SMP to complete this well-balanced album. Intrigue 20 is essential listening, the perfect representation of the label in 2023.
