A DJ that needs no introductions; Max Chapman, makes his welcome return to Kaluki this month with latest single, ‘Steppa’.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2011, Max has cemented his career in the underground House scene with countless Beatport top tens, releases on FFRR, Virgin, Relief, Sola and Toolroom, and shows at some of the most influential clubs across the world. Renowned for his flawless productions and energetic live shows, new single ‘Steppa’ does not disappoint, fusing Chapman’s signature sound with tribal percussion, shuffling drums, infectious claps and a hypnotic vocal lick.

What’s the best gig you’ve played recently?
My favorite gig recently has to be NYE in South Africa for Kinky Summer. I headlined and it was a huge festival stage with about 6000 people.

What have you got coming up?
I have a very busy March coming up and end of Feb: next week it’s Dubai for Cuckooland and I have gigs coming up in Italy, Milan, and Turin.

And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?
My special message is to the up and coming talent: no matter how hard it seems to be to break into the industry, don’t give up and keep trying. I have struggled to sign music myself over the past six months, things I thought were great records have been turned down by almost everybody I sent them to. Keep on keeping on!
