Brix & Mortar debuts on BOOST Weapons ‘So Piano’

Share

Next up, on BOOST Weapons we welcome some brand-new talent as a new member of the family with his ‘So Piano’ release, Brix & Mortar.

Based in Glasgow but originally hailing from sleepy Halifax in West Yorkshire, Brian Drake grew up in the Yorkshire clubbing golden era of Hard Times & Back2Basics, so his musical influence is heavily inspired by the transatlantic teleportation of those exciting new sounds that were being brought across at the time and played at those parties originating from Chicago & Detroit.

Brian and his Brix & Mortar moniker has quickly grown a reputation for being a true crate digger. His genre dipping selections from an archive built over the last 30 years mean each set is both unpredictable and memorable as the last one, from tough Detroit main staples to smooth Chicago vibes Brian delivers solid US house each and every time.

Brix & Mortar hosts a show on the ever-popular ‘Brixton Radio”, he has also held a residency on Emergency FM. A platform to showcase his true underground sound.

Brix & Mortar has made a steady journey through the industry and is now time to really make the imprint he rightly deserves. With a solid release schedule already forming, bookings will undoubtedly follow. A truly talented DJ and Producer that will make a well-deserved impact in 2021.
