The Italian producer gained attention with ‘Buscando Money,’ released on Glasgow Underground, which later went viral and became one of the biggest Tech House hits of 2023. However, TWENTY SIX has proven already that they are not a one-hit wonder. They have released other stellar tracks like ‘Stan’ or ‘Rehab,’ among many other outstanding singles.

These achievements have led them to perform alongside artists such as Jamie Jones, Dennis Cruz, or Reelow at international venues in Frankfurt, Malta, London, and Madrid, marking their debut on the international stage.

For 2024, there seems to be no slowing down for the Italian artist, and the label is more than delighted to release their track ‘Overflow.’

We chatted to him…

Hi Elia, it is a pleasure having you for this interview.

The very first TWENTY SIX release only came out in 2020 so you are a new name in the electronic music scene. What time did you start producing music and how did you get involved in the music scene?

Buscando Money was released in 2023, almost a year ago. I’ve been producing music for many years now, and it’s my absolute passion in life. When I dive into music creation, I completely isolate myself from everything else and manage to turn my thoughts into something tangible.

Last year your track ‘Buscando Money’ went viral and became one of the top trending tech house tracks. How has it affected your career?

The virality of Buscando Money has had various impacts. I’m excited by the fact that many new people are discovering my music, and I’m starting to take it around the world. At the same time, I want to make sure to clearly define my true concept when it comes to Twenty Six’s music.

We see that you have a busy schedule as a DJ with performances in several different locations. What was your favorite party so far and any dream location/venue/festival on your bucket list?

Over the past few months, I’ve had many fantastic nights, but one experience that particularly struck me was at the Lost Beach Club in Montañita, Ecuador. I played for several hours in the room called “Cueva,” and it felt like being on another planet, with a unique connection to the people on the dance floor.

You make your Witty Tunes debut with the track called ‘Overflow’. How was the idea behind the track born?

With Overflow, I wanted to create something very moody. I love incorporating more acoustic basslines into my tracks, and I believe you can really feel my style in Overflow. There’s a sexy vocal in the first break and a very ambient guitar in the drops. Additionally, in the last break, there’s a vocal sample that holds a very special meaning for me.

What are your plans for 2024? Any tour or upcoming releases you can tell us about? 

2024 will be an exciting year. I want to take my music everywhere to make everyone understand what I love to do. Music transcends any barrier, and I want to be the spokesperson for something authentic. I have over 20 tracks ready to go, and I continue to create new ones every day. It’s going to be a truly special year.

Captain Knuckles is a less prolific producer, however, is one of the most busiest DJs in Budapest. Being a resident of RAW and Citymatine he performed on the best festivals and nightclubs in Hungarian over the years. He is definitely a pure example of the quality over quantity concept, his tracks went out on labels like Deeperfect, Time Has Changed or Brise.
