Shanghaied hits 50 Releases

Share

It’s our label Shanghaied’s Birthday – as the label turns two years old, it also marks it with the 50th release!

‘Let’s get Shanghaied Volume 2.0’ is a VA compiled of artists who have released with the label previously and that we will be sure to be keeping in the fold as we move forward.

Label boss Wax Worx kicks off proceedings, with an ethnic vibe track, which features a ‘Palwei’ flute from his fathers homeland of Burma (Myanmar)

Next up is our lad Archie B! Who injects his own unique energy into this release with his carnival Tech House banger ‘Ahora’

Double trouble next from Marcellus Wallace teaming up with rising talent Roger That, they deliver a superb slice of peak time business called ‘Over You’

One to watch Sandor steps in with his rolling Tech Sound to deliver a track Parisienne’ which is aimed straight at the underground.

Closing things off we have Hobbs (UK) & Moi Rodriguez, they interject a bit of that ‘Intergalactic Smugglers’ style into the party with the big bad bass heavy ‘Close Your Eyes’

You can grab the whole va from Traxsource here!

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
