4-star review. We only review releases we think are four stars and use only one word for each star.

In short, we like to “keep, it, simple, stupid”

With that in mind…

Brunch Mimosa Retro Funk…

Australia’s deep and soulful house duo, Random Soul—known individually as Yogi & Husky—make a grand return with their latest track, ‘Thinking About You’, the first single from their upcoming second album, ‘Stronger’, set to drop in 2025.

Known for their infectious grooves and signature party vibes, Random Soul bring a dose of feel-good energy with Yogi’s smooth vocals and an uplifting piano house groove that captures the essence of soulful house at its best.

The remix package is equally stacked. Dr Packer, the UK native and Perth-based Nu Disco don, adds his boogie-funk flair to the track with a bubbling bassline and retro synths, channeling the classic sounds of 1982.

On the deeper end, Jay Bhana, the South African-born, Sydney-based producer, crafts a lush, warm re-vibe that creates a spacious, atmospheric take on the original, perfect for late-night listening.

Celebrating over fifteen years in the house music scene, Random Soul has left their mark across some of the genre’s most respected labels, including Large MusicGuesthouseSalted MusicDeepvisionz, and their own Random Soul Recordings. With ‘Thinking About You’ as a taste of what’s to come, Yogi & Husky continue to solidify their legacy as Australia’s top purveyors of soulful, funky, and deep house music.

Catch ‘Thinking About You’ now and get ready for more from ‘Stronger’ in 2025.
