Crossbow release ‘Rhythm’ on NUDE

Share

Those eagled-eye Data Transmission readers will have noticed we have been moving our Techno music on to a new SoundCloud called NUDE. Today, we release our first release on a new imprint under the same name. First, up is rising talent Crossbow, who we’ve been supporting for a minute.

Crossbow comes from an extremely musical background as a singer, songwriter and guitarist. Her interest in music developed at an extremely young age. It has evolved over her life into a deep passion for dance music. Her love for moody, yet playful techno, allows her to carry her listeners into a moment of deep focus and empowerment. Driving kick drums, jumpy bass-lines, metallic synths and a feel for something darker is what drives her. This is all carefully woven together to transport you to the foggy underground clubs of Berlin and back to some warehouse in Brooklyn.

She chooses her music based on a primal instinct for polyrhythmic drum patterns and emotions embedded between the lines of the melodies. Her hope is that this music elicits interesting and enjoyable feelings in others, the same as it does for her!

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
