Together, Alpine Hearing Protection and Watch The Hype are running a tinnitus prevention campaign within the UK clubbing scene called ‘All Ears’. They want to shed the light on the risks involved with prolonged exposure to loud music and provide people with solutions to avoid irreversible damage.

They are partnering with 10 of the UK’s most prominent electronic music venues including Corsica Studios, Village Underground, Oval Space, The Pickle Factory, Motion, Marble Factory, Patterns, The Hifi-Club, Wire Club and The Arts School to distribute Alpine PartyPlugs to their patrons at a number of high-profile events.

For those that don’t know, Tinnitus is a condition that happens in the ear, that can be acquired as the result of long spurts of clubbing without hearing protection in. It’s often described as “ringing in the ears”, although several sounds can be heard, including: buzzing, humming, grinding, hissing and whistling.  Some of the free foam ear plugs on the market tend to make you feel like you are clubbing underwater, the Alpine PartyPlugs being distributed or purchased from their website, protect your ears and keep you in the party!

For more information on the campaign head to their website and don’t forget Team DT run the Marlow Half Marathon to raise money for theBritish Tinnitus Association, you can sponsor us here!

A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
