Bolster returns Respekt with their ‘Mind & Machines’ EP

Spektre’s record label, Respekt presents an intoxicating two-track techno EP by Bolster.

Bolster are back on Respekt with their second release on the imprint in 2024. Once again the Belgian duo showcase their dynamic style, which layers twisted euphoria with earth-shaking percussion.

Alongside their previous releases on Respekt, Jo Smeets and Michaël Aerts aka Bolster have released on other prestigious imprints such as Spartaque’s Codex, Ramon Tapia’s Say What? and Metodi Hristov’s Set About.

“Mind & Machines” is the EP’s title track, and it combines eerie pads with ominous vocals, while hulking bass synths create intensifying suspense. “Take Me Back” is second on the release, and like its predecessor, it’s built around a hulking kick drum, but its focal point is uplifting synths that contrast with dark atmospherics.
