Slovenian DJ and producer Ian Sound releases his eagerly-awaited ‘You Know Me’ EP on Techords.

‘You Know Me’ is one of two EPs out for release from the rising star. Sound also makes his NastyFunk Records debut with the tech fuelled boiler ‘Everybody’. Look out for more releases and news over the coming months. He also makes a return to the legendary ‘Stellar Beat’ this summer. Sound will be performing before the famed Benny Benassi.

Talking about the EP, Sound explains: “It’s not a coincidence that my tracks are called ‘You Know Me’ and ‘Inside’, I put the names together as a message. The EP describes me as a person; about knowing myself as an individual, the music and the groove that lives inside me. There’s usually always a message in my track names and they usually depend on my mood at the time…you know me”

Opening the EP with the chunky, offbeat rhythms of ‘You Know Me’. Sound perfectly merges rolling house with a classic breakbeat vibe, catchy vocal samples that mingle with constant kick drums and pounding percussion.

The second offering on the production, ‘Inside’ packs a punch. Playful rhythms toy with profound basslines, simple vocal breakdowns teasing the listener with anticipation for the next drop which Sound ingeniously crafts throughout.
