Spektre’s record label Respekt welcomes a dark and driving techno ‘Take Me Away’ EP from Joris Turenhout.

Joris Turenhout is a Dutch artist making his debut on Respekt following peak-time techno releases on other respected imprints ranging from T78’s Autektone to Mark Reeve’s SubVision.

Based in Amsterdam, Joris Turenhout is a respected DJ within the Dutch club scene. His compelling style is a fusion of powerful synths rich in melody and thundering percussion that’s shrouded in a dark atmosphere.

“Take Me Away” is the first of the two tracks on this release and it opens with a throbbing bassline and grinding synths layered with rave-inspired chords. Its soulful vocals add uplifting tones to the menacing tension of the intense groove.

“Unholy” is a dark and ominous track with a thumping kick drum and monstrous bassline layered with the suspense of hypnotic vocal textures to create a devastating groove.

We premiere ‘Take Me Away’ on NUDE Techno, check it out here and grab it on Beatport.
