Evasive Records is back in full force, continuing its legacy of pushing forward-thinking underground sounds with a fresh wave of releases. Their latest drop, EVA043, sees MYR & Taylor bring a three-track tech house EP to life, accompanied by standout remixes from Rob Pearson and Mr. D.
Hailing from Leeds, MYR (aka Peaky Beats) has built a reputation for crafting intricate, groove-driven productions, spanning house, techno, and UK garage. This EP takes listeners back to his tech house roots, featuring tracks produced at White Noise Studio between 2016 and 2018. Teaming up with Taylor, who has previously lent her vocals to his releases, the duo shifts gears, with Taylor stepping into a co-production role to bring a fresh dynamic to the project.
The Rob Pearson Remix of ‘Capture’, premiering on Data Transmission, sees the Evasive Records boss deliver a deep, rolling groove, packed with intricate percussion and hypnotic layers. Pearson, a pioneer of UK tech house, injects his signature sound, balancing fluid rhythms with a driving, club-ready energy that makes this remix a standout moment on the release.
With additional contributions from Mr. D, who delivers a moody, atmospheric take on ‘In My Head’, this EP is a testament to Evasive’s continued commitment to cutting-edge house and techno.
