Forin gives away his remix of Majid Jordan’s ‘Caught Up’

Share

LA-based Drum & Bass producer, Forin, has put together a lush remix of Majid Jordan’s ‘Caught Up’. The light, yet groovy liquid roller is the perfect lead up into spring — the perfect anthem for a community that has spent the better part of two years apart from each other.

A member of the new wave of Drum & Bass artists coming out of LA, Forin has had support from everyone from Tipper to the team at Vision Radio. Mostly known for his darker, heavier halftime tracks, Forin demonstrates his range with ‘Caught Up’ while blurring the lines between underground aesthetics and pop sensibilities.

The track begins with a rhythmic vocal delay evolving into a chorus of Jordan’s vocals. As the vocals fade, the drums emerge alongside a swelling pad — blooming into a rolling liquid anthem that feels deep and light all at once. The track evolves with a rotating ensemble of swelling leads, bright pads and glitched out vocals all playing off of each other in a harmony of uplifting emotion. The second drop takes an even more stripped back approach with groovy drums, bouncy arps and Jordan’s vocals culminating in an undeniable feeling of renewal and swagger.

This track provides a calming response to the chaotic times we live in that will no doubt leave dancefloors in LA feeling optimistic and re-energized.
