After smashing records last year, Reggae Land 2025 is back at The National Bowl in Milton Keynes for its fifth edition on 2nd and 3rd August 2025. With over 90 artists performing across five stages, this open-air celebration is levelling up again with bigger production and brand-new stage designs – it’s going to be a weekend you won’t want to miss!

Reggae Land is the biggest reggae festival in the UK and one of the largest in Europe, with up to 100,000 people expected in 2025. Known for its unbeatable line-ups, it brings together reggae legends, rising stars, and everything in between. The vibe is always warm and welcoming, with a family-friendly atmosphere that celebrates authentic Caribbean music, food, and culture.

Since moving to The National Bowl in 2023, the festival has made itself right at home. This iconic venue, famous for hosting world-class events, has a natural amphitheatre design that guarantees amazing sound. Plus, Milton Keynes is super easy to get to, with great transport links from all over the UK.

Reggae Land 2025 - MK Bowl

“Reggae Land has grown into something truly special over the past five years and we couldn’t be prouder of what it’s become. Starting as a dream to celebrate reggae music and Caribbean culture, it has now become the UK’s biggest reggae festival, attracting tens of thousands of people from all over the world. The incredible growth we’ve seen reflects the passion and love for reggae, as well as the unique atmosphere we’ve created – one that brings together iconic artists, amazing food, vibrant cultural experiences, and a sense of community you won’t find anywhere else. Year five is set to be our best yet!”JBM Music (Promoters)

For the weekend, the venue will transform into a Caribbean paradise. Think of a buzzing Caribbean food village with over 50 food vendors, a reggae flea market, a reggae museum, a VIP zone, a Rum Shack, cocktail bars, and plenty of festival merch. It’s a proper celebration of Caribbean culture with one of the most diverse and lively crowds you’ll see at any festival.

The Main Stage is getting a serious upgrade this year, with bigger screens, more sound, and a stacked line-up featuring legends like Chronnix, YG Marley, Protoje, Capleton, Steel Pulse, General Levy and Kabaka Pyramid. Dub Pistol’s crazy festival, Mucky Weekender returns in 2023 across the 8th & 9th of September – once again at Vicarage Farm in Winchester.

The countdown to lift off has begun, as they announce the first wave of artists to be performing across the weekend. The super cool Skints make their first appearance at Mucky Weekender described by Clash Music as “the torchbearers for modern British reggae music.”, the Skints mix reggae, ska, dub, punk rock, dancehall, soul, and rap into their unique sound.

Also making their debut this year are legendary jungle royalty in the shape of General Levy and DJ Rap, alongside Ed Solo, Uncle Dugs, Klue, Katalyst and Jessi G.

Further to that, another band they know you are going to love are Cut Capers, a 9-piece Bristol outfit, whose energetic live performance and infectious sound have won them a cult following on the British festival scene – mixing a heavy 4-piece brass section with funk, dance and hip-hop. Like all the best bands, their sound is hard to pin down but comparisons have been made to “Lianne La Havas, Hot 8 Brass Band and The Streets” among many others (The Bristol Magazine).

And there’s more… after her storming set last year, the brilliant Eva Lazarus is set to return with her full live band, whilst for the breaks fans amongst you, they have the very biggest artists on the scene including, Stanton Warriors, Krafty Kuts, The Freestylers & A.Skillz. Don Letts and Gardna return, as does the Horseman who will be teaming up with the Mighty Prince Fatty.

The Happy Monday’s crazy dancer Bez is back, with his immense acid house party. And for the house heads, the uber cool Faith Crew also return with Terry Farley, Bruise (live) Stuart Patterson and Dave Jarvis.

How’s that for a starter? This is just the first announcement to give you a lift-off, and over the coming months, they have plenty more to add, sending you fully into outer space and beyond!

Remember you can book your place for just £13.50 a month with our payment plan and save even more money by getting 5 tickets for the price of 4 with our group booking. Plus, if you book now, you can get a Christmas card signed by the band.

What are you waiting for?

“You know, it takes a lot of things to make this happen. We’re in Albania! Thank you to all the Albanian friends, family and strangers who’ve welcomed us into here.”

As the sun rose for the final time of the festival, MC Lowqui’s emotionally-charged words epitomised the Hospitality On The Beach 2022 experience. We were at a Drum & Bass festival in ALBANIA! It was a moment to take a step back and reflect on what this week meant for the scene.

Earlier this month, we witnessed history in the making with the return of Hospitality on The Beach for a third instalment. Whereas previously we knew the festival for its roots in Tisno, Croatia, this year the label took the decision to move to Dhermi, Albania.

‘Discover a new Drum & Bass holiday’ was the slogan Hospital used to describe the experience, and the festival lived up to that. The whole week felt like an intrepid adventure where the D&B community travelled in force to celebrate their favourite genre of music in an unknown paradise over six days. No one knew what to expect (apart from broken bodies at the end), but that was all part of the fun.

And paradise this festival was. From the blissful billing of talent including stage takeovers from DARKMTTR, Critical, AWOL, Spearhead, Soulvent, and Marky & Friends, to immense scenery with turquoise ocean and beach parties against the setting sun. While we have experienced Hospitality on a beach before, this was a different experience for fans and a fresh challenge for the label. Did everything go smoothly? No. Did it make for a memorable experience? Absolutely!

Anyone who went to Tisno will remember it as a small site where you could walk between stages in a couple of minutes. That wasn’t the case here. Instead of being centered on one resort, D&B was taking over an entire stretch of town filled with venues, restaurants, shops and accommodation. The music was spread across four stages. During the days, there was Yacht Club (a covered terrace sticking out over the sea) and the Cove (a pebbled beach hidden in a rocky alcove). Then at night, two more stages came to life. Empire (the grand main stage feeling like some Hawaiian resort) and Splendor (the closest resemblance to Tisno’s beach stage).

The opening night was like a warm-up with it being an all Yacht Club and Cove affair. Hospitality were in control of the Cove and it was a perfect start to the week with Stay-C, Degs, Keeno, Grafix and Pola & Bryson among those playing out. Despite feeling fragile from long journeys, energy levels were high. Even the security were down for the occasion – skanking out at the side of the stage. It was the words of MC Ruthless during Grafix’s performance that set the precedent for the following days: “All in this together. One family, one sound, one vibe.”

Hospitality on the Beach 2022

This feeling of togetherness carried through into Thursday – especially on the boat parties. Anyone who went to Tisno will fondly remember the moments the boats created. These boats didn’t disappoint either. This time, the stage was on the outside with full viewing coverage of the scenery around. It’s hard to explain just how magical the moments at these boat parties were. Sailing across the ocean with D&B providing the soundtrack – it’s what dreams are made of, right?

One of the best aspects of these parties is the unpredictability, and the Hospitality boat featuring Grafix, Keeno, Winslow, Lens, Slay and Dynamite, with Degs onboard as a guest, was a prime example. From people swimming up to the boat and Dynamite joking we were pirates and they could join our tribe for €1000, to the boat rocking so much Degs was holding the speaker in place, to an impromptu b2b2b2b breaking out with the boat not being able to dock due to choppy waters – Hospitality boat parties always entertain.

Hospitality on the Beach 2022

The same could be said for the rest of Thursday with V Recordings bringing their soulful sound to Splendor and Hospitality putting on a full-label showcase mainstage. But it was Thursday night that sprung a peculiar experience when the music cut off across the whole festival – just before Andy C was due on Empire. There was a feeling the festival was over before it had begun, with Hospital’s Chris Goss on stage explaining there was an issue with the local authorities. Thankfully, the music returned and Andy C was able to do what he does best – tear up the stage.

If anything, that moment hit home how powerful music is in uniting us, as the atmosphere afterwards was electric. This rolled on into Friday, where it felt like the whole festival cranked up a notch. The unofficial theme of the day was a homage to the greats. People who’ve created history for our scene, but also the ones who inspire others to do great. AWOL’s takeover at the Cove celebrating their 30 years in the game was a testament to this with the likes of Uncle Dugs & Navigator, DJ Rap & Carasel, DJ Storm & GQ and Grooverider & Ragga Twins providing a history lesson in chest-rattling basslines.

Despite not being the busiest stage with Critical and Spearhead takeovers elsewhere, the atmosphere was unique. People skanking hard and dancing without a care, cheering along to every drop – all with a big smile on their faces. It was a nostalgic taste of the early rave days.

While that was going on, Splendor was gearing up for a beautiful moment to round off Friday’s proceedings – LSB rolling out to the rising sun. While he may not be a historic great, there aren’t many in the scene who can do liquid like LSB, and that’s why the backstage area was filled with names including LTJ Bukem, Chris Goss, Hugh Hardie, Riya, Lens, Whiney and Etherwood. Usually, the crowds at graveyard shifts are minimal, but this one was packed. Like Robert Manos said on the mic, “We’re blessed to be here” listening to LSB roll out classics (apart from ‘The View’, surprisingly).

I initially questioned LSB being on at 4:30am, but when the sun came up and the colours of the sky danced to a D&B rhythm, it was incredible. There are not many times in life you’re happy to see the sunrise at a rave, but during LSB’s set, it was a blessing. Closing the performance with his and DRS’ ‘New Day’ was the perfect way to kickstart the weekend (after a few hours kip, of course).

It’s special moments like this that continued cropping up throughout the weekend. DJs going harder than usual. Selectors drawing for tracks they hadn’t played in years. MCs wheeling tunes who don’t like rewinds. People jumping on stage for unorthodox b2bs. It felt like there was something in the air.

You could say it was the blistering mid-30s Albanian heat sending people delirious, or you could see it as something linked to Hospital bringing D&B to unchartered territory. It was a moment, a vibe, a page for the history books, a sign of how far this small but powerful genre of music has come – and the artists were on board with the narrative.

Saturday in itself sprung some unique occurrences. Banger vs Clangers soundtracked the day with DJs stepping up and putting their productions to the judgement of a crowd armed with signs. Then at the night, you had Ivy Lab rolling out a rare liquid D&B set on the DARKMTTR stage with S.P.Y, Workforce, Skeptical and more.

Hospitality on the Beach 2022

But it was the celebration of D&B women that stuck out. Solah Live with Emma B on the decks at Cove, Kara supporting A.M.C on his boat party, Frenetic laying down a hectic set at Yacht Club, demonstrating why she is one of the best female selectors in D&B – this was a day celebrating the many awesome females we’ve got in this scene (even if not everyone sees it).

I’m not sure if everyone celebrated too hard on the Saturday, but by Sunday there were many tired bodies and weary heads – particularly on the boat journey to the fort party with DJ Marky, GQ, Kyrist, Children of Zeus and Charli Brix. This was an occasion to be excited about though – we were on the way to party in a historic fort as one of two fort excursions during the festival. But the heads on tables and faces in bins throwing up told a different story. To be fair, the sea was relentless, and it felt like we were on a ride at Alton Towers that went on for far too long (two hours longer than it was supposed to).

That was just the start of Sunday’s demise. When the fort appeared in the distance spirits were high, but as we walked up the hill and saw the fort party, spirits came tumbling down. The small stage was outside of the fort’s walls, no one was allowed inside, we’d missed Charli Brix’s set, Kyrist couldn’t make it – and to make things worse –  the only spirit the bar served was Jägermeister. It led to a mass exodus of people jumping on coaches back to the festival before Marky & GQ had even made it up the hill. They were bemused. It was a mess.

Thankfully, they jumped straight on stage and salvaged things. As GQ said, “We’re gonna do the best with what we’ve got” – and that’s what they did. Marky pulled out his Brazilian flair, scratching the decks while spinning around, and GQ tried his best to insert life into the legs of those who stayed. There weren’t many, but to look at this with a positive – when else would you see DJ Marky in such an intimate setting?

There was a lot of frustration from ravers after the fort, but it’s worth noting the Hospital team who were there looked just as disgruntled. I’m sure Hospital had big plans for the fort, but as had already become apparent during the Thursday of the festival, there were issues arising from us being in Albania for the first time.

And that’s important to remember – this was the first HOTB in Albania. Inaugural festivals usually run into teething issues. Thankfully, it was easy to look past these annoyances when the music was so good – especially Marky & GQs nighttime set on Splendor. They promised they’d go hard to make up for earlier, and they did. SP:MC jumping on stage for an impromptu b2b with GQ, Marky closing the set by grabbing the mic and singing over his remix of Ne-Yo & Ghostface Killah’s ‘Back Like Dat’ – it was a performance putting smiles back on people’s faces.

The final day of HOTB is always an eventful one with people giving every last ounce of their energy, and this Monday was no different. With Run in The Jungle and Born On Road taking over Cove, and Splendor playing host to one final Hospitality showcase, it was an awesome final day of big wubs and bigger melodies.

But away from the festival site, something special was going down – a party on Gjipe Beach – which fans got speed boats to. These afternoon parties had been going on for a few days, but this one, in particular, invited Camo & Krooked, Etherwood, Kings of The Rollers, Harriet Jaxxon, Makoto, Lally, MC Fava, MC Daxta and Lowqui. This wasn’t just any beach party. It was located inside of a canyon, set back from a hidden beach, with a make-shift-looking stage featuring the biggest stack of speakers on either side.

Andy C

It felt like a free party we’d stumbled across in amongst the bushes, and it made for a festival highlight. Whether it was Camo & Krooked going in with a throwback dancefloor set like the ones they graced Rampage 2014 and 2016 with, or Harriet Jaxxon rolling through jungle while Lowqui ventured out into the crowd with the mic to vibe with ravers – everyone in the crowd had beaming smiles. This was a friendly, family affair – the Hospitality mantra. People in the crowd giving water to Daxta while on the mic, Etherwood singing ‘Begin By Letting Go’ (something he never does), girls on the side dancing with hula-hoops – it was special.

It reminded me of the feeling of gratitude I had at Barbarella’s after-parties in Tisno when the sun came up and the crowd were still vibing at 6am. It was a pinch-yourself moment. I didn’t have as many of these moments in Albania. I particularly missed the crazy Barbarella’s b2bs that made your mouth water (Friction b2b Randall b2b S.P.Y especially). There should have been more of these in Albania with the list of names gracing the festival, but thankfully, Hospital had a surprise up their sleeve to close out the festival at Splendor – a gigantic b2b between artists including Makoto, Fred V, Etherwood, Stay-C, Viridity, Degs, Whiney, AC13, Lally and Buunshin, with Lowqui and KAZ on the mic.

It wouldn’t be HOTB without an unorthodox b2b, and the people who stayed until sunrise to see it were treated to throwback tunes, big mixes, and the occasional funny clanger. There were so many DJs on stage that even Lowqui didn’t know who was dropping what. There was even a successful marriage proposal! It was the joyous ending to a festival that has been in the hearts of many Hospitality ravers since it started in 2018. While the Albanian version of Hospitality On The Beach did have its ups and downs, you can’t ignore the fact this festival was one for the history books – one where we demonstrated just how global Drum & Bass is!

If this is enough to whet your whistle don’t forget about Hospitality Weekend In The Woods which is coming 17th and 18th September 2022! Final remaining tickets can be found here!

Signalling the start of the summer, Shindig Festival which takes part between 26th – 29th May 2022 will be the finest edition to date. It’s taking place in a new location Dillington Estate, Somerset, a 16th Century house and hotel that not only provides the backdrop but also some high-end accommodation. The festival will take place in the beautiful, tree-studded parkland surrounding the estate.

Shindig Festival has evolved over the years from being a party for the network of friends of the Ghetto Funk record label to a festival with a reputation for an incredible line up and a super-friendly vibe.  It’s a glorious mash up of a gig, a free party, a circus show, a series of curious craft workshops, a wellbeing retreat and a kid’s party.  Voted ‘Best For Family Rave’, it has been blazing a trail since 2014 and attracting an ever more diverse crowd.

Some of the artists announced include Roy Ayers, Goldie, Stanton Warriors, DJ Flight, Crazy P, De La Soul, Nighmares On Wax, Dillinja, Kosheen, T>I, Jamz Supernova, DJ Rap, Birdee, Uncle Dugs and a load more too!

“I’m so excited about 2022. It’s the most diverse lineup we’ve ever seen. From gospel choirs to Shindig regulars and everything in between: pioneers, legends and luminaries, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to dance the weekend away in beautiful new surroundings.” – Will Lardner, Festival Co-Founder

There are no main stages, just a beautiful arrangement of stretch marquees. From watching circus to hearing spoken word or learning a new skill, there’s something for everyone. Bringing a healthy dose of foot-stomping funk and a packed programme of entertainment for all ages, Shindig Festival offers relaxation and revelry in equal measures.

For those that like to mix wellness with wildness, Shanti Shala is the perfect place to unwind, recharge and reconnect. You will find a variety of therapists offering treatments to relax and restore your body and mind. From yoga, massage, pilates, tai chi and ecstatic dance – there is a huge range to choose from.  Bigger than ever before, the Craft Area will offer workshops on everything from felt making to spoon whittling, woodworking and jewellery making for all the family.

The Kids Kingdom has expanded. This year it will house a skate ramp, crazy golf course, kids cinema and plenty of inflatable fun. You can book clay-modelling workshops with Aardman, drumming sessions with Jamba de Samba and make clothes from scrap materials. Not forgetting the outrageously and abnormally energetic Flying Seagull Project who are back by popular demand!

While the pandemic continues to create barriers, underground dance communities across the world are coming together in a show of solidarity with a 48-Hour global radio takeover. The livestream will take place on Friday 30th October. DJs will be transmitting from 9 countries, including sets in London, NYC, Tokyo, Oslo, Sydney, Turin, Lisbon, Ibiza and Berlin throughout the weekend.

The 48Hr radio takeover will pay homage to London’s rich broadcasting history and DIY attitude. The transmission will kick off with DJs from South-East London music space and event series AAJA. The schedule includes an assortment of London based DJ’s throughout the weekend including AAJA founders Everson and Patch the Whale. Also, Rinse FM’s dedicated old-skool jungle DJ, Uncle Dugs, who is behind the newly launched ‘We Are Viable’ campaign. This was set up to pressure the government for a roadmap to re-open live events.

Uncle Dugs

The weekend will also include a special performance from the godfathers of Drum & Bass, Fabio & Grooverider.

Fabio & Grooverider

Throughout the 48Hr transmission, international DJs will take the reins, with sets from Oslo’s infamous garage collective Lokka FM, Italian disco producer Birdee, Techno-spinning resident of Tokyo’s Vent Club, Reki, and a session from the masters of leftfield dance, Sydney’s Something Else Record Store.

Birdee

Also featured across the weekend will be music from Berlin’s leftfield-leaning breakbeat and experimental label, Ecke, and sets from WRECKEDnyc’s very own Ron Like Hell in deepest Brooklyn, with more surprises to come throughout the Halloween weekend.

Presenting a united front of DJs across the world, the 48Hr transmission looks to highlight the vital importance of community radio and its pivotal role during the pandemic, needed now more than ever. As well as bringing attention to a number of underground communities, the stream also looks to raise awareness of the #WeAreViable movement — a campaign created to bring together and unite all corners of the entertainment industry to help safeguard its future and deliver a safe return to normal.

Everson & Patch The Whale

As avid listeners, DJs, event & radio organisers in the current climate, it felt more important than ever to continue to share music, collaborate with DJs, artists and listeners. In these very disconnected and uncertain times, we must keep dancing, listening and sharing music.

Our 48 hour worldwide stream, which skips around the world twice, touching down with different crews in different cities is to celebrate our SE London station, AAJA, draw attention to the #WEAREVIABLE campaign, hoping to return live entertainment, safely as soon as possible. Hospitality

London’s newest drum n bass festival had its debut in North London on the last sunny Saturday in September. On September 24th 2016; 10,000 ravers took over Finsbury Park for Hospitality in The Park. Drum & Bass heaven? Or potentially; a chav filled cheese fest of aggressive mosh pits and charged teenagers?

As seasoned ravers, we were really hoping the vibe of the festival would nod back to the days when Hospitality was homed at the Charing Cross night club Heaven, which it moved to after outgrowing it’s first home; Herbal. Way back when, Hospitality were really cementing their positive rave environment, nothing but good vibes, happy ravers and storming vocal anthems. The latter was originally what drew us to the label and 10 years later was what made us dubious about the credibility of the festival, as well as our place within it. The underlying dark side current in our personal tastes has developed over the years and as the years have passed, our raving needs have changed. So I was sceptical, but nostalgia made us quickly come to our senses. This festival was hosted by arguably the most renowned dnb label & event and who could resist that line up!?

Hospitality

On arrival it didn’t take us long to realise that we would be in great company. Each dnb stereotype was out in full force; The label t-shirt wearer, the old skool raver, the girls with limited edition trainers, all nationalities and all with massive smiles. The music invited you in, as security whisked everyone through to the distance sound of 2004 Hospital classics.

After receiving our obligatory wrist bands and looking at the incredible days programming we quickly headed for our first set of the day… S.P.Y! As we arrived at the Hospital tent we were amazed by the shear capacity of the venue and how many people were already raving their socks off. It was packed and it was only 1pm! The day had barely begun and the blend of classic S.P.Y rollers, mixed with his new material, was spot on. However, we were looking forward to getting down and dirty to a late night set from the Brazilian DJ, but assume this early appearance was because of a booking clash.

After warming up to a nice dose of S.P.Y, we headed straight over to the Soul in Motion X Med School Tent. For us, this was the biggest draw, as the two promotions compiled an A-List of the slickest liquid DJ’s to create a supremely stellar line – up. Now, unfortunately, we could not see the entire cast, however, we did manage to catch the last half an hour of Hospital’s deep roller Anile as he kicked off proceedings with a 2 hour set. Gutted we missed the first hour and half however, but what was next was something pretty special… Liquid’ heavyweights LSB b2b SpectraSoul, which was definitely a happy first for us. The tent heaved with happy faced DnB heads at this point, all hoping to catch two of the scenes most prolific producers drop the old and a lot the new… and they did not disappoint. If you haven’t yet, we seriously suggest to check out SpectraSoul’s new EP Stock Sound and LSB’s beautifully crafted single ‘Missing You’ (feat Tyler Daley & DRS). VIBES VIBES VIBES!

untitled-44

After hearing some liquid loveliness we composed ourselves and had a little look about around Hospitality in The Park. Three stages dedicated to dnb; Hospitality, Rampage and Soul In Motion X Med School. They also had on show a variety of Live acts at the Dub Phizix & Strategy Well Good Do stage, showcasing a variety of genres of DubStep, HipHop & of course DnB. The only other alternatives to the Hospitality’s Drum n bass policy where; a splatter of Hip Hop at The Doctors Orders’ tent, provided by Hospital Co- Founder Chris Goss with the likes of Tim Westwood and Mr Thing or an injection of Dub at the Reggae Roast arena. Not a bad offering at all, but lets be honest, we came for the drum n bass!

The set up was intimate and you could loop the festival in minutes. That is, if you could manage to walk past a sound system without getting dragged in by whichever headliner was rolling out tunes.

The Soul Van was the biggest culprit for this, swaying dedicated ravers off their timetabled path. Nestled in between the food trucks and the lavs and within ear shot of the token booths. The Soul Vent camp was in prime position to turn the ear and their naughty selection had ravers dancing non-stop in the last of the summer sun. Good work lads!

Hospitality

A mention to the food here, hats-off Hospitality! Something for everyone. Vegan Buddah Bowls, jerk chicken and veggie burgers and apparently “the best chicken wings in the world” as claimed by Jenna G and provided by Spit & Roast. They also all accepted cash, which was a welcome change from the token system that was in place throughout the rest of the festival. No one wants to queue twice for a drink.

Talking of drinks, Hospitality had brewed their own lager and IPA for the event, which went down too easily with any of the food on offer. Accompanied with the sweet soundtrack of drum n bass, it made for the perfect setting.

Casting our eye over the festival at this point, we appreciated how interactive everyone was. Strangers communicating and dancing with happiness and ease. No pre-judgment on appearance or age, just the unity of having a love for the same music.

As the sun began to set, “it was time to get serious” exclaimed our fellow raver. So we got another beer and consulted the booklet of set times. It was gonna be tricky, as the quality of line-up at every stage was unmissable! But we were professionals and from that moment on it was a welcome race against the clock!

Hospitality

Fifteen mins of LTJ Bukem, who commanded the eager crowd with his flawless DJ-ing. Then 20 mins of The London Elektricity Big Band, who were absolutely fantastic! The Hospitality tent was filled to the doors, with everyone dancing and singing along with Tony Coleman & The Riot Jazz Brass Band. Hosted by the award winning Jazz singer Liane Carroll, vocalist Emer & our very own Dynamite MC, this was London Elektricity’s first live appearance in 11 years and it did not disappoint. The icing on the cake was London Elektricity’s rendition of One More Time by Daft Punk. The climax of unification came at this very point, with all ravers celebrating, embracing and dancing together.

After some live dnb, we headed over to skank out to DJ Marky, who killed it! (as he always does!) One the most exciting DJ’s that has ever graced the D&B scene with one of the best MC’s. Just as we thought it could not get any better we were treated to Marky & SP:MC serenading the audience over DJ Marky & Bungle Remix of Ghostface Killah – Back Like That. A special moment witnessed by many and one we will not forget.

Before pacing it back to catch the last half of Bailey. For which, we sacrificed State of Mind b2b with Black Sun Empire with Lowqui. But Bailey. My oh my. Standing right at the front with fellow dnb lovers all around, the crowd lost it! He smashed it and looked rightfully chuffed when he stepped off to let Nu:Tone and Logistics take to the decks.

Hospitality

A wonderful programme of dnb was rounded off by the legendary DJ Randall b2b with Uncle Dugs w/ General Levy… I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E. This was the last set of the night for us. We only managed the last 30min, as we got a bit distracted going to the cocktail bar, taking photos in front of the Hollywood esq’ Hospitality sign, making friends on the chill out bus, chatting dnb and watching people loose their marbles at the fair ground!

As the sweat dripped from the faces of all the satisfied ravers, before the lights came up there was still time for ‘one more tune’. High Contrast finished the day with a clap along in the Hospitality tent with his very own Remind Me. A fitting end, to an incredible day of music.

On reflection, we can appreciate the challenge of putting on a festival for a genre of music that people hold so close to them. If done wrong, those who attended this year would probably never go back. In our opinion, this was not the case at all. Hospitality managed to use their label to capture the essence of the scene – old and new, by incorporating the many personalities of the Drum & Bass genre. Whether you’re are a dnb head or looking for a true representation of the modern day scene, this festival has what you’re looking for.

London’s new annual Drum & Bass festival? We hope so… Only time will tell!

The ‘sweet’ sixteen traditionally marks a coming of age. It’s a birthday that properly commemorates the unstoppable surge of hormones that rips through every vein of the adolescent body around this time. It’s a milestone deemed one of the most significant in the western world, although, if you watch a lot of MTV, it’s also an excuse to blow out and pay Lil Jon to pour [non-alcoholic] crunk juice over an abundance of shirt and shoe wearing 15 year olds from a very great height.

Unfortunately though, our budget won’t stretch that far AND besides, we’re proud that we don’t enforce that kind of strict dress code, so alas, you won’t find LL Cool J, leaning up against an LED illuminated ice sculpture of some nameless rippling Norse God in fabric this October. You will however find another prodigious weekend of nightclub programming where we pay homage to the music we love, the strength of our relationships and the deeper understanding of the collective existence that the last sixteen years has afforded us.

As per usual, the full lineup for the second part of our 16th Birthday celebration must stay under wraps – for now – but we’re overjoyed to announce the full lineup for the FABRICLIVE leg of the weekend. On Friday 16th October west London’s legendary Kurupt FM crew make their debut here in Farringdon to present their Champagne Steamrooms dance in Room One which will feature the incredibly able Rinse FM associate, Oneman alongside a back to back set from Barely Legal and Chimpo and turns from Mystry & Flowdan and blossoming Manchester selector, Madam X. Room Two will beat to a slightly faster, more frenetic drum with Spor, Logistics, Loadstar, Uncle Dugs and Macpherson stepping up to maintain the energy till the 7am alongside Ed Rush & Optical who have confirmed that their long awaited new album is finally ‘on the way’.

Then, after that, there’s the small matter of another 31 hour marathon session from Saturday night through till Monday morning where we’ll play host to sets from our residents Craig Richards and Terry Francis alongside a selection of very special guests (which we’ll be announcing over the coming weeks) – many of whom have been a vital influence in our maturing process.

Entering its 17th year this summer running from Fri 24th – Sun 26th July 2015, Nozstock is a family-run and home-made festival on a beautiful working farm set in the truly stunning heart of the Herefordshire countryside.

Nozstock brims with diversity, creativity and excitement. Reassuringly welcoming, it has evolved from 50 friends gathered at the original event in themed 90s and flourished into an intimate musical odyssey joining the dots between pop, ska, folk, funk, soul, indie, drum and bass, psytrance, house and a whole lot more, now firmly established as one of the country’s leading boutique festivals.

The theme for 2015 is the sci-fi inspired Nozstocker’s Guide to The Galaxy, and the iconic festival has just announced its first wave of live and DJ artists including  Wu-Tang Clan,  Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Hospitality stars London Elektricity, Etherwood, Danny Byrd, Metrik, Krakota and MC Wrec who take over The Cubicles on Friday.

DJ Hype is one of the most iconic names in drum and bass,  the beatboxing Beardyman brings his unreal vocal dexterity to create sets unlike anything else, fashioning amazing sounds into mind-bending sets; everything is 100% live and improvised on a shamanic journey through dance music. They’ve also got heavyweight bass-basher Dillinja, Congo NattyDeeklineEd SoloEd Rush & Optical, Rinse FM’s Uncle Dugs and special guests Ratpack, Slipmatt, Kenny Ken and Billy Daniel Bunter.

The Hidden Valley has nine stages, many nooks and crannies and is set around a ramshackle Tudor farmhouse. The Orchard Stage is set at the foot of a natural arena on the side of the gently sloping valley. Alongside the farmhouse is The Garden Stage, which provides a more eclectic lineup, turning electronic by sundown, whilst a converted cowshed, The Cubicles, pushes out sub-thumping bass and dubstep through to the early hours. The Dingle hosts much of Nozstock’s alternative art activities; a round-the-clock theatre, a cinema screening short films and a dedicated kids area for children of all ages.

This year we are proud to announce there will be a Data Transmission stage and we have a special DJ Competition for a place to play on that stage by clicking here

Tickets from £80 teen / £105 adult – www.nozstock.com
