After smashing records last year, Reggae Land 2025 is back at The National Bowl in Milton Keynes for its fifth edition on 2nd and 3rd August 2025. With over 90 artists performing across five stages, this open-air celebration is levelling up again with bigger production and brand-new stage designs – it’s going to be a weekend you won’t want to miss!

Reggae Land is the biggest reggae festival in the UK and one of the largest in Europe, with up to 100,000 people expected in 2025. Known for its unbeatable line-ups, it brings together reggae legends, rising stars, and everything in between. The vibe is always warm and welcoming, with a family-friendly atmosphere that celebrates authentic Caribbean music, food, and culture.

Since moving to The National Bowl in 2023, the festival has made itself right at home. This iconic venue, famous for hosting world-class events, has a natural amphitheatre design that guarantees amazing sound. Plus, Milton Keynes is super easy to get to, with great transport links from all over the UK.

Reggae Land 2025 - MK Bowl

“Reggae Land has grown into something truly special over the past five years and we couldn’t be prouder of what it’s become. Starting as a dream to celebrate reggae music and Caribbean culture, it has now become the UK’s biggest reggae festival, attracting tens of thousands of people from all over the world. The incredible growth we’ve seen reflects the passion and love for reggae, as well as the unique atmosphere we’ve created – one that brings together iconic artists, amazing food, vibrant cultural experiences, and a sense of community you won’t find anywhere else. Year five is set to be our best yet!”JBM Music (Promoters)

For the weekend, the venue will transform into a Caribbean paradise. Think of a buzzing Caribbean food village with over 50 food vendors, a reggae flea market, a reggae museum, a VIP zone, a Rum Shack, cocktail bars, and plenty of festival merch. It’s a proper celebration of Caribbean culture with one of the most diverse and lively crowds you’ll see at any festival.

The Main Stage is getting a serious upgrade this year, with bigger screens, more sound, and a stacked line-up featuring legends like Chronnix, YG Marley, Protoje, Capleton, Steel Pulse, General Levy and Kabaka Pyramid. Fan favourite Gyptian, known for his hit ‘Hold You,’ is back by popular demand, and there’s still a very special guest to be announced.

The One Love Stage will feature icons like Morgan Heritage, Etana, Spragga Benz, Christopher Martin, Israel Vibration, Marcia Griffiths, and Tanya Stephens. Meanwhile, the Carnival Stage is the place to rave, with jungle heavyweights like Serial Killaz, Mampi Swift, Ed Solo, Benny Page, and Ragga Twins. Rompa’s Reggae Shack will host takeovers from Iration Steppas and Channel One and feature DT faves Dub Pistols, Daddy Nature and Uncle Dugs, while dub fans can hit the Dub Stage for sets from Mungo’s Hi-Fi, Mad Professor, Trojan Sound System, and more.

A new events concept, Hidden City, is set to make waves across our hometown of Milton Keynes by transforming hidden and quirky spaces in the city into pop-up event spaces. With a focus on music and experiential production, Hidden City has a fresh take on the arts and culture scene in Milton Keynes.

“We believe that Milton Keynes, and its boundless growth deserves an equally exciting calendar of events,” said a spokesman for the company, “and we’re committed to finding and transforming hidden gems in the city into unforgettable event experiences. We plan to bring incredible talent and production into the heart of the city centre and significantly add to the existing arts and culture offering within the city. We’ve been working closely with MKCC to bring this to fruition, and they have been incredibly supportive of the project.”

The event company has scoured the city for its most interesting, disused, or hidden spaces, and is set to breathe new life into them with a program of events throughout the year.

Hidden City

“Hidden City is very much a project for Milton Keynes by Milton Keynes, and we are on a mission to make MK the cultural capital of the region” said its founder Oli Ibrahim. The company’s events aim to use local suppliers wherever possible, collaborate with local businesses, create local employment and significantly add to event tourism revenue.

Event One, the company behind the concept, has brought the likes of Camelphat, Patrick Topping, Chase & Status, Andy C, Sub Focus, and more to the city previously, and its founder is involved in curating the move of Reggaeland from Campbell Park to the National Bowl, in association with Stadium MK this year.

The first event is set to take place this Summer, at a location not yet disclosed and is to feature street food, street art, and electronic and live music. With a further follow-up and the most exciting space, unveiled for an event later this year.

The first show announcements are expected to go on sale Friday 31st March. For further information, Hidden City invite you to sign up at www.thehiddencity.co.uk or to follow their social media channels @hdncty

You would be hard pushed to find a more in-form, in-demand and talented artist as Steve Lawler.

Regarded as highly by his industry peers as he is by his huge global base of musically educated fans, Steve has been busy with the beats long before genres were but a twinkle in the clublandʼs eye. An electronic artist who defies generic boundaries, he began his career organizing the infamous motor way raves back in the early 90s underneath the M42 motorway.

Steve held a triumphant residency for nine years at the Balearic club Space in Ibiza, where he earned himself the nickname ‘The King of the Space’. His VIVa Nights residency where Steve played from doors open to doors close at The End in London consistently sold out for its 7 years span and his residency at Londonʼs Home Club was one of the infamous venueʼs biggest success stories.

Steve Lawler now heads up Unit Nine, Milton Keynes, on Saturday 18th May for what will be a prestigious night of House.

In 2018, we at Data Transmission changed our thinking and launched a new ‘learn’ section on the website and started producing content to help DJs get further in the music industry.

Now in 2019, we are taking that further by launching a series of events in our hometown of Milton Keynes to help inspire, educate and empower local DJs with the knowledge to help them on the right path towards an exciting and successful career in the music industry.   We are teaming up with local venue Unit Nine to help bring this event series to life by launching on International Women’s Day Friday 8th March.

To kick off our new HACK THE DJ series, we want to start by looking at a huge local problem, which is the drastic lack of female DJ talent.  We have curated a FREE day of discussions, panels, keynote addresses and fireside chats with some truly inspirational music industry women & men from places BBC Radio, Mixmag, Kaluki, Relief, Favouritizm, Garage Nation and Data Transmission.

DT head honcho Grahame Farmer says “The recent launch of three major events in our city has been exciting for everyone in electronic music.  These events are going to start to rebuild a culture here which has been held together for a long time by one small venue, doing the utmost to cater for every musical taste.  The sad fact is that promoters booking the events have booked the local support from the best local talent available – unfortunately, these have all been male acts. We’d like to start with this event to build a bigger talent pool locally which includes both male & female acts. Which we hope in the future will give promoters more options when booking line-ups”

Ladies, if you are a DJ, want to be a DJ or generally just want to work in the music industry then please come and join us for a fun day.
