DJ and Producer Mista Trick has announced the release of ‘You – The Remix Album’ on 27th May through Brighton based label, Freshly Squeezed. Today we bring you the first play of Mista Trick, Tenisha Edwards, Blackout JA ‘About To Blow’ (Ed Solo Remix)!
The album features 11 brand new versions of songs from his 2021 debut, including a drum n bass mix of ‘About To Blow’ from Ed Solo – with an impossible not to dance to, rolling bassline, a deep liquid Drum & Bass remix of ‘Golden Sound’ from BCee and a Reggae tinged version of ‘Golden Sound’ from Dub DJ/Producer, Timbali. Guaranteed to get dance floors bouncing.
In the lead up to the album drop will be 3 single releases, ‘Golden Sound’ – PiSK remix (23rd March), ‘About to Blow’ – Ed Solo remix (13th April) and ‘Golden Sound’ – BCEE remix (4th May).
“The idea of the track came from two things I love; Bristol and Boomtown Fair. Bristol is becoming more and more popular that people worry that it will become too expensive and at the height of Boomtown it’s so electric that it feels like it’s about to explode. (pyrotechnics help.) We also shot the one take music video in Bristol. 🙂 “

The album will be supported by a series of amazing UK summer festival shows with 9-piece, Mista Trick Live, including Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Wilderness, Boomtown, Camp Bestival and Shambala. You can expect a mix of vintage vaudeville vibes with distinctly down and dirty drum n bass. Mista Trick is often described as the love-child of a wartime knees-up and a 90s rave. He’s fresh, he’s fun, he’s all about the boogie.
“I really enjoyed working on this remix, I had great parts to work with, and I am very happy with the end result.”
