After smashing records last year, Reggae Land 2025 is back at The National Bowl in Milton Keynes for its fifth edition on 2nd and 3rd August 2025. With over 90 artists performing across five stages, this open-air celebration is levelling up again with bigger production and brand-new stage designs – it’s going to be a weekend you won’t want to miss!

Reggae Land is the biggest reggae festival in the UK and one of the largest in Europe, with up to 100,000 people expected in 2025. Known for its unbeatable line-ups, it brings together reggae legends, rising stars, and everything in between. The vibe is always warm and welcoming, with a family-friendly atmosphere that celebrates authentic Caribbean music, food, and culture.

Since moving to The National Bowl in 2023, the festival has made itself right at home. This iconic venue, famous for hosting world-class events, has a natural amphitheatre design that guarantees amazing sound. Plus, Milton Keynes is super easy to get to, with great transport links from all over the UK.

Reggae Land 2025 - MK Bowl

“Reggae Land has grown into something truly special over the past five years and we couldn’t be prouder of what it’s become. Starting as a dream to celebrate reggae music and Caribbean culture, it has now become the UK’s biggest reggae festival, attracting tens of thousands of people from all over the world. The incredible growth we’ve seen reflects the passion and love for reggae, as well as the unique atmosphere we’ve created – one that brings together iconic artists, amazing food, vibrant cultural experiences, and a sense of community you won’t find anywhere else. Year five is set to be our best yet!”JBM Music (Promoters)

For the weekend, the venue will transform into a Caribbean paradise. Think of a buzzing Caribbean food village with over 50 food vendors, a reggae flea market, a reggae museum, a VIP zone, a Rum Shack, cocktail bars, and plenty of festival merch. It’s a proper celebration of Caribbean culture with one of the most diverse and lively crowds you’ll see at any festival.

The Main Stage is getting a serious upgrade this year, with bigger screens, more sound, and a stacked line-up featuring legends like Chronnix, YG Marley, Protoje, Capleton, Steel Pulse, General Levy and Kabaka Pyramid. Fan favourite Gyptian, known for his hit ‘Hold You,’ is back by popular demand, and there’s still a very special guest to be announced.

The One Love Stage will feature icons like Morgan Heritage, Etana, Spragga Benz, Christopher Martin, Israel Vibration, Marcia Griffiths, and Tanya Stephens. Meanwhile, the Carnival Stage is the place to rave, with jungle heavyweights like Serial Killaz, Mampi Swift, Ed Solo, Benny Page, and Ragga Twins. Firing up the bassbins and hitting you hard with a dose of raggamuffin junglist energy is what Ed Solo is all about. From Glastonbury to Canada’s Shambhala, from dirty Brixton back rooms to Spanish arenas, Ed has travelled the globe throwing down his unique brand of ruffneck bassline bravado for more than a decade.

Ed’s partnership with Jungle Cakes partner in crime Deekline has thrown up some of the most memorable tunes of the decade. The pair recently released the 15th edition of their Welcome to the Jungle series and have formed the incredibly successful Jungle Cakes Takeover collective with the likes of Benny Page and Serial Killaz.

Ed is set for a whirlwind double-header of events across XOYO’s London (13th) and newly launched Birmingham venues (28th) this month, seeing him fly the flag for Jungle Cakes in the capital and take the stage at the Weird & Wonderful Halloween Festival in Brum. You can find tickets & more info for London shows HERE and Birmingham shows HERE.

Ahead of two big gigs this month, Ed shares five of his top club cuts that guarantee to get the dancefloor hot underfoot:

Anaïs – Tek It Easy

It’s a motto I go by. Been rinsing this all year – solid tune. Also, I like Anaïs’s sound – we’ve been talking about getting on a track together since our meeting at Printworks. Watch this space…

General Degree – Traffic Blocking (Azule Bootleg)

One of the many great free downloads on Hypeddit. Anyone who knows me knows I love a bootleg. I chose this one because I like the original tune, and the remix slaps hard.

Ed Solo & MC Melo D – Bassline Growler

Not jungle, but one of my fave releases this year. If I had to pick another it would be Feel Good – Ed Solo because I love making feel good dnb. You will hear me drop my remixes of ‘Cold as Ice’, ‘Real Raver’, ‘Bassline Growler’ and I will be testing out my latest track ‘The Stinka’ this weekend.

Papa San – DJ Business (Diagnostix Remix)

Because it’s on Jungle Cakes and I like it, it’s a great tune.

Burt Cope – So Mi Like It

Love Burt’s take on the reggae ragga remixes. He’s got the re-rub sounding hyped whilst still keeping true to the original. Burt Cope is up and coming fast, smashing out these remixes and is one to watch out for.

You can catch Ed Solo at XOYO London for Jungle Cakes on 13th October and XOYO Birmingham for the Weird & Wonderful Halloween Festival on 28th October.

Moondance and Dope Ammo would have been absolutely off their rocker to not continue with the success of their ‘Together’ projects. Spending weeks and weeks at the top of the download charts was one thing, but to put together such an authentic tribute to the past was no doubt the tip of the raving iceberg for everyone involved. So, they are back with ‘Together Reloaded Part 1’. The reloaded series aims for more of the same and promises to give you another trip down memory lane but with the bonus of upfront production and a quicker BPM so slotting into your next set won’t be an issue!

Dope Ammo, Ed Solo and Cat Mctigue take on ‘Make Me Feel’ in fine style, promoting singalong vibes throughout and the occasional whistle and horn if you’re in the mood. You all know this one from way back in the early 90’s, just this time around it’s got extra rave stabs and a growling bassline.

Next up ‘In The Moonlight’ from Sense and Dope Ammo featuring Cat Mctigue on vocals sticks with the hands-in-the-air vibe, ideal for the end-of-summer festival crew and the countless house parties that will follow.

The Godfather DJ Slipmatt links up with Dope Ammo for a four-to-the-floor monster that goes by the name of ‘The Song’. Early hardcore vibes a run with a monster kick drum, plenty of quick-fire riffs and cheeky drum fills. Essential if you’re a multi-genre DJ.

Wrapping up Part 1 of the project brings Dope Ammo, Ratpack and Jasmine Knight together in the studio alongside Akas with ‘Going Back’ the remix. The vocals alone carry this track into unknown territory, full of passion and expert delivery. It’s one hell of a dream team collaboration and worthy of being in everyone’s virtual crates for months to come.

Today we premiere Dope Ammo, Ed Solo ‘Make Me Feel’ ft. Cat Mctigue which you can check out below. ‘Together Reloaded Part 1’ drops today on all reputable platforms, so make you bag yourself a copy from here!

DJ and Producer Mista Trick has announced the release of ‘You – The Remix Album’ on 27th May through Brighton based label, Freshly Squeezed. Today we bring you the first play of Mista Trick, Tenisha Edwards, Blackout JA ‘About To Blow’ (Ed Solo Remix)!

The album features 11 brand new versions of songs from his 2021 debut, including a drum n bass mix of ‘About To Blow’ from Ed Solo – with an impossible not to dance to, rolling bassline, a deep liquid Drum & Bass remix of ‘Golden Sound’ from BCee and a Reggae tinged version of ‘Golden Sound’ from Dub DJ/Producer, Timbali. Guaranteed to get dance floors bouncing.

In the lead up to the album drop will be 3 single releases, ‘Golden Sound’ – PiSK remix (23rd March), ‘About to Blow’ – Ed Solo remix (13th April) and ‘Golden Sound’ – BCEE remix (4th May).

“The idea of the track came from two things I love; Bristol and Boomtown Fair.  Bristol is becoming more and more popular that people worry that it will become too expensive and at the height of Boomtown it’s so electric that it feels like it’s about to explode. (pyrotechnics help.)   We also shot the one take music video in Bristol. 🙂

Mista Trick

The album will be supported by a series of amazing UK summer festival shows with 9-piece, Mista Trick Live, including Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Wilderness, Boomtown, Camp Bestival and Shambala. You can expect a mix of vintage vaudeville vibes with distinctly down and dirty drum n bass. Mista Trick is often described as the love-child of a wartime knees-up and a 90s rave. He’s fresh, he’s fun, he’s all about the boogie.

“I really enjoyed working on this remix, I had great parts to work with, and I am very happy with the end result.”

Ed Solo

Mista Trick Live is a collective of artists and musicians collaborating under one brand. Taking bits of their creativity and style and mixing it all together with Mista Trick producing.  Fusing sounds of Jazz, Ska, Hip-Hop, Drum and Bass into one live experience.

UK Festival dates; Shindig (27-29 May), Swing & Bass Lost Horizon (4 June), Isle Of Wright Festival (17-19 June), Glastonbury (22-26 June), Big Love Festival (15-18 July), Secret Garden Party (23 July), Camp Bestival (28-30 July), Wilderness Festival (5-7 August), Boomtown (13 August), Camp Bestival (19 August), Beautiful Days (20 August), Shambala (25-28 August).

Check out our premiere of ‘About To Blow’ (Ed Solo Remix) below. As mentioned, the album drops on Wednesday 27th May. Grab yourself a copy of the track from here when it drops!

Every summer, Lancashire’s glorious South Ribble countryside transforms into the weirdest, the wildest and the most wonderful vibrant three-day party in the UK festival calendar; Beat-Herder.

Now in it’s twelfth year, the festival originated from the free party rave scene and still feels as exclusive and wayward as it’s secret parties from many moons ago yet now homes over 17 incredible music arenas, 14 bars, 40 plus stalls, fairground rides, a craft tent, a healing tent, children’s climbing frames…..the list goes on!

Having worked in the festival scene for the last 8 years, Beat-Herder was one of the very few festivals I hadn’t yet had the honour of attending. I had heard some amazing reviews over the years through the grapevine and to say I was ‘really excited’ about the adventures that lay ahead was an understatement!

After an epic six-hour road-trip from our home-turf of Hertfordshire, my partner in crime for the weekend, DJ and music producer Mr Beatz, and I expected to be met by long entry queues followed by even longer wristband queues. However, entering the festival site was thankfully painless! No sooner had we received our press passes we were parking the car and pitching up our bell tent in crew camping, enjoying a well-deserved (and very large) gin and tonic and admiring the most picturesque scenes of the sun-drenched valley ahead with rolling hills as far as the eye could see. How lovely!

One strong cup of coffee later followed by perhaps another stiff beverage to get us in the party spirit, (would be rude not to!) we finally left camp to take a wander into the main festival site.

Throughout the entire weekend, we walked mouths agape, stumbling across the most incredible scenes. An underground tunnel, hidden in a phone box (which I refused to enter due to being claustrophobic!) a working tattoo parlour, boutique shops, concealed hangout areas and the most mouth-watering food stalls.

The beating heart of Beat-Herder is the magical, hypnotic and beautifully lit woodland stage the Toil Trees, showing off musical delights over the weekend including Pete Tong, Camelphat, Patrick Topping, Denis Sulta, Artwork, Monki, Mr Scruff, Sam Divine and many more.

The Fortress, another monstrous music venue made out of corrugated iron is filled with all things breaks, beats and house that according to the organisers ‘reverberate through the dancing-compacted ground right up your spine!” We danced the night away to the most unbelievable line up of top DJ’s including Gemma Furbank, Phatworld, Erol Alkan, Ben Sims, Deekline, Ed Solo, Charla Green and Liohness.

The District Working Men’s Social Club actually felt like we’d step back in time and entered a boozer from the 1970’s. Complete with period light fittings, chintz lampshades, portraits of the Royal Family, 70’s TV boxes and kitsch fireplaces. Serving real ale pints and hosting acts such as Nana Moon, Swingers Club Travelling Disco, Northern Soul Dance Workshops, Beat-Herder’s Got Talent and my personal favourite with an enormous bucket list tick, The Allergies.

The Garage is a perfectly set small woodland venue filled with hyped up festival goer’s stomping on old, trashed cars to the funkiest of tunes played by DJ’s based from within a booth inside an old vintage banger. The vibe was utterly electric and you couldn’t help but grin from ear to ear and raise your hands to the sky to the most uplifting beats.

My personal favourite setting was The Snug. The festivals most intimate venue housing the likes of funk, soul, pop and dance. We managed to sneak backstage and hang out with friends The Chicken Brothers (the cheekiest Northern chaps you’ll ever meet!) Where’s North? Father Funk and Two Good. They all know how to party!

The highlight of the weekend was interviewing Friday night’s headliners, world-class DJ’s and electronic dance legends, Orbital. Brothers, Paul and Phil Hartnoll, (two of the friendliest and funniest chaps I’ve ever met!) have been both critically and commercially successful and known particularly for their element of improvisation during their live shows, a rarity among techno acts. They were initially influenced by early electro and punk rock however on asking which one decade of music would they chose to be eternally stuck in and what genre of music is currently most influential their answers were very different!

Paul: Style wise I’d chose the 1960’s. I’d revel in wearing both the smart suits of the Mods with the contrast of the bright flower suits of psychedelia. Music wise, my current influence is folk music, especially modern folk music led by female vocalists. Sunday afternoon, a glass of real ale, feet up and folk-tinged electronic!

Phil: If I were to time travel, go back in time, know what I know now then I’d go back to 1950’s and totally rinse it!

Another special moment was interviewing Utah Saints who have been heavily involved with Beat-Herder since 2007 when they started booking several DJ’s for the Toil Trees. Now, Tim and Jez host Saturday nights ‘cosmic theatre’ The Ring. Sticking to the theme of most influential decade and genre of music it became clear the 70’s stood out as the true musical influence for them. According to Jez, one half of Utah Saints, the 1970’s funk and disco movements were the catalysts of modern dance music. “The whole disco club scene is completely bonkers. The energy of that and the Sex Pistols ‘God Save the Queen’ is the reason why we got involved with raves. People with soul come through. Everyone connects.”

Beat-Herder 2018 official photo by: James Cray https://www.jamescray.co.uk | © Duke Studios https://www.duke-studios.com

Beat-Herder fashioned an immersive world full of mesmeric and captivating imaginative perceptions. The attention to detail and creativity everywhere we turned was endless and made even more vibrant by the impressive fancy dress costumes following the theme of the letter ‘E.’ Festival-goers did not disappoint with their extravagant attire including Egyptians, emoji’s, Beat-Herder ‘Express’ Airlines, Elvis, Sesame Streets Elmo, Elton John, Edward Scissorhands, elves, emu’s, elephants and more!
A pure feast for the eyes, Beat-Herder is intensely bold bringing in an attractive and barmy crowd of party goers.

What makes Beat-Herder so special? The hedonism? The friendly vibes? The creativity? The barminess? Whatever it is, it’s not one to miss. 2019….here we come!

Field Trip Festival, returning for its second year across the August Bank Holiday weekend 26-29 August, is hotly anticipated to be the best up and coming electronic dance music festival in the South West. Spanning the spectrums of House, Techno, Drum ‘n’ Bass and Breaks, Field Trip brings an eclectic mix of dance music genres to Grange Farm, West Ashton, Wiltshire.

Building on last year’s success, event organisers Jack Clink (34) and Ryan Allcott (41) have been working tirelessly behind the scenes planning the three day event. ‘For us, it’s about people coming together to have a good time but without the inflated prices you see at so many music festivals these days,’ says Jack Clink.

“We are really overwhelmed with the speed of ticket sales this year and all the great feedback from last year’s event – we can’t wait to show people what’s in store at Field Trip 2016,” adds Ryan.

Field Trip is honored to welcome drum and bass legend Roni Size for a headlining set. He is joined by Dynamite MC for his set in the ‘Hidden Garden’ on Sunday night. Other acts include Randall, Logistics and DJ S.P.Y, joined by the vocal talents of MC Lowqui, Carasel and IC3.

Stanton Warriors are set to headline the Outdoor Stage on Saturday night. The acclaimed international superstars with West Country roots are taking a break from performing at Miami boat parties, Detroit raves and the stages of Coachella to land on their home turf. Punters can expect to be blown away by their original spin on high profile remixes and undeniable bass banging Stanton sound.

Add to this Apex Stage headliner, Alan Fitzpatrick, Jonas RathsmanWoz,  JFB, Ed Solo, Dr Meaker, Ayah Marar and Gypsy Unit, Flava D, Will White, DC Breaks and Shadow Child.

nozstock

Entering its 17th year this summer running from Fri 24th – Sun 26th July 2015, Nozstock is a family-run and home-made festival on a beautiful working farm set in the truly stunning heart of the Herefordshire countryside.

Nozstock brims with diversity, creativity and excitement. Reassuringly welcoming, it has evolved from 50 friends gathered at the original event in themed 90s and flourished into an intimate musical odyssey joining the dots between pop, ska, folk, funk, soul, indie, drum and bass, psytrance, house and a whole lot more, now firmly established as one of the country’s leading boutique festivals.

The theme for 2015 is the sci-fi inspired Nozstocker’s Guide to The Galaxy, and the iconic festival has just announced its first wave of live and DJ artists including  Wu-Tang Clan,  Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Hospitality stars London Elektricity, Etherwood, Danny Byrd, Metrik, Krakota and MC Wrec who take over The Cubicles on Friday.

DJ Hype is one of the most iconic names in drum and bass,  the beatboxing Beardyman brings his unreal vocal dexterity to create sets unlike anything else, fashioning amazing sounds into mind-bending sets; everything is 100% live and improvised on a shamanic journey through dance music. They’ve also got heavyweight bass-basher Dillinja, Congo NattyDeeklineEd SoloEd Rush & Optical, Rinse FM’s Uncle Dugs and special guests Ratpack, Slipmatt, Kenny Ken and Billy Daniel Bunter.

The Hidden Valley has nine stages, many nooks and crannies and is set around a ramshackle Tudor farmhouse. The Orchard Stage is set at the foot of a natural arena on the side of the gently sloping valley. Alongside the farmhouse is The Garden Stage, which provides a more eclectic lineup, turning electronic by sundown, whilst a converted cowshed, The Cubicles, pushes out sub-thumping bass and dubstep through to the early hours. The Dingle hosts much of Nozstock’s alternative art activities; a round-the-clock theatre, a cinema screening short films and a dedicated kids area for children of all ages.

This year we are proud to announce there will be a Data Transmission stage and we have a special DJ Competition for a place to play on that stage by clicking here

Tickets from £80 teen / £105 adult – www.nozstock.com
