Now in its fifth year, the programme continues to spotlight emerging artists shaping the future of dance music. By offering meaningful opportunities for growth and exposure, Beatport reinforces its commitment to championing the next wave of talent.

“We are thrilled to unveil the Beatport Next Class of 2025, which marks another milestone in our mission to elevate emerging talent from every corner of the globe,” said Teresa Aramburu, Global Director of Artist Marketing & Partnerships at The Beatport Group. “This year’s program showcases 12 exceptional artists who represent the vibrant diversity of electronic music, both in sound and in spirit. By expanding the initiative, we’re doubling down on our belief that music has the power to connect, inspire, and unite communities worldwide. Beatport Next remains at the core of our mission to champion the incredible potential of rising stars in the scene and bring their artistry to the forefront of our global electronic music community.”

Since its inception in 2021, Beatport Next has become a cornerstone of the company’s artist development strategy. Through curated playlists, exclusive Beatportal features, live streams, and dynamic social media campaigns, the initiative amplifies the voices of rising artists, connecting them with a global audience of music lovers and creators. Last year’s Beatport Next Class featured trailblazers like Ahadadream, Aida Arko, Anaïs, Baalti, and Stones Taro, each representing the innovative ethos of the programme.

This year, Beatport proudly introduces the 12 artists shaping the Beatport Next Class of 2025:

AZZECCA

Chicago’s Azzecca blends high-energy techno, house, and cosmic sounds. Her breakout track ‘Other Side’ (13M+ streams) propelled her to major stages like Coachella and Movement Detroit. She’s released music on Kompakt, Ninja Tune’s Foreign Family Collective, and Higher Ground, while her COSIMEA event series fosters inclusivity and emerging talent.

DJ Fucci

Hailing from Mexico, DJ Fucci is a driving force in the global underground electronic scene. A co-founder of WAVA WAVA, he’s performed at festivals like Ceremonia and SÓNAR while releasing music on NAAFI, Lobster Theremin, and Dekmantel. His EP ‘Fauna’ solidified his reputation as an innovative producer.

Grace Dahl

Amsterdam’s Grace Dahl redefines techno with hypnotic loops and powerful percussion. A Vault Sessions resident, she’s graced iconic stages like Berghain and Awakenings. In 2024, she launched SDT Recordings, a label championing boundary-pushing electronic music.

IN2STELLAR

Australian duo IN2STELLAR, comprising Sarah and Georgia, have risen from Melbourne’s underground to global acclaim. With releases on Dansu Discs and fabric, their party series Neurotiq Erotiq and worldwide gigs have cemented their impact.

LUXE

London-based composer and DJ LUXE fuses classical training with electronic experimentation. Her 2025 trilogy of EPs explores nostalgia and nature, blending harp, flute, and strings. With a debut live show and support slots for Jon Hopkins, LUXE continues to push boundaries.

Ma Sha

New York-based Ma Sha is the founder of Kindergarten Records and a key figure in NYC’s underground scene. Known for experimental club releases, Lot Radio residencies, and collaborations as part of the duo Sha Ru, Ma Sha’s sound stands out.

P-rallel

London’s P-rallel is reshaping UK club culture with his genre-blurring sound. Off the back of his 2023 mixtape ‘Movement’ and viral track ‘It’s a Lundun Thing’, he’s toured globally and expanded his Nevermind imprint.

SICARIA

SICARIA has emerged as a leading figure in modern dubstep. Her chest-rattling 140 bpm sets and SWANA-inspired productions have earned her global recognition, a DJ Mag nomination, and radio residencies.

Slim Soledad

Paris-based Slim Soledad channels São Paulo’s underground scene into electrifying sets that mix techno, baile funk, and electro. A former dancer and organiser of São Paulo’s first trans-led parties, her genre-defying sound continues to captivate audiences.

St. David

Italian producer St. David, also known as Davide Disanto, specialises in groovy, old-school house inspired by the ’90s American scene. Founder of Theory of Swing Records, he’s reviving the magic of classic house music.

Tailor Jae

East London’s Tailor Jae is celebrated for her fearless mixing style and bass-heavy sets. A Mixmag DJ competition winner, she’s performed viral Boiler Room sets and founded her brand Heavy On The Bass (HOTB).

Thakzin

South African DJ/producer Thakzin pioneers the 3Step sound, blending Amapiano, Afro, and Deep House. His viral single ‘The Magnificent Dance’ and collaborations with icons like Zakes Bantwini have cemented his global reputation.

Additionally, $10,000 has been allocated to a special IMS Ibiza Fund to assist young artists in attending the summit in 2025. You can join the waiting list for more information.

We look forward to seeing the impact this year’s recipients will make.” – Sofia Ilyas, Chief Community Officer of The Beatport Group.

The fund provides financial support and visibility to organizations addressing diversity and inclusion in electronic music. As in previous years, recipients will be selected through an application process, with grants ranging from $3,000 to $15,000, accommodating both grassroots initiatives and larger-scale organizations. Alongside financial grants, Beatport will also offer editorial exposure and marketing support to amplify the work of each recipient.

The application process opened on 3rd October 2024 and will close on 31st October 2024, at 11:59pm GMT. For more information and submission guidelines, please visit www.beatportal.com/fund.

London’s own DJ and producer extraordinaire, Ozzie Guven, emerges from the depths of the underground with his latest auditory masterpiece, the ‘Bassline Pumping EP,’ now gracing Archie Hamilton’s seminal MicroHertz imprint.

Ozzie Guven’s musical odyssey is a captivating narrative of evolution and creative zeal. Immersed in the vibrant UK underground music culture from a young age, Ozzie, affectionately known as the OG, was ignited by the resounding echoes of 90s culture.

His journey commenced with mastering the piano, arming him with his first musical weapon. Venturing deeper into the sonic realms, he delved into the legacies of musical pioneers like Wiley, Dizzee Rascal, MJ Cole, and Shy FX, meticulously crafting his unique sonic signature.

The defining moments of Ozzie Guven’s journey unfolded through his electrifying DJ performances, where he expertly weaved infectious Grime, Garage, and jungle records across London’s eclectic venues. This DJ prowess led to his very own show on Select FM, firmly anchoring his position in the scene. However, it was during the confines of the 2021 lockdown that Ozzie unleashed his true potential, leaving an indelible mark.

His monumental release, the ‘Dubaholics EP’ on Seb Zito’s prestigious Seven Dials Records, ignited his ascent to meteoric heights. This remarkable production quickly scaled the Beatport charts, securing the coveted #1 spot in the Minimal/Deep Tech category.

The ‘Bassline Pumping EP’ is a testament to Ozzie’s relentless commitment to the craft, showcasing his unique ability to infuse energetic driving basslines, captivating rave chords, and irresistible grooves that beckon you to the dancefloor. Tracks like ‘Bassline Pumping’ and ‘Lost The Plot’ are sonic journeys that will take you on an exhilarating ride, complete with hypnotic grooves and peak-time energy.

Guven’s ‘Bassline Pumping EP’ on MicroHertz cements his status as a torchbearer of the new school in underground UK house music. Get ready to immerse yourself in the pulsating beats and infectious rhythms of Ozzie Guven’s unparalleled sound.

Approaching the end of another busy year of releases and international shows for Bamboleo Records label bosses Neverdogs, they continue to set a precedent for cutting-edge underground dance music with their latest release.

Returning to Artslaves’ much respected Moan Recordings imprint with their ‘Chocolate’ EP, Tommy and Marco’s latest work also sets the stage for an impressive cameo from fellow Italian DJ/Producer duo YOUniverse.

The first of two originals from Neverdogs, the title cut ‘Chocolate’ features an array of punchy rhythmic elements alongside rich, resonant synths and smooth, deepened bass tones, brought together by atmospheric FX samples, cadent vox chops and swinging percussive drive. YOUniverse delivers a contrasting interpretation with their remix, electing for more demanding grooves, grittier musicality and grainier textures with a funky flow from start to finish. ‘Landing’ closes out the release, loaded with quirky personality and more delightfully danceable analogue musicality, riding a wobbly bassline and spacey sonics to carve out an intergalactic-tinged roller.

Neverdogs’ ‘Chocolate’ EP (incl. YOUniverse Remix) is available now via Moan Recordings.

PIXELYNX, an interactive music platform co-founded by deadmau5 and Richie Hawtin and majority-owned by Animoca Brands, has officially launched its BeatKOR AI music collection in collaboration with Beatport, the global leader in music for DJs, producers, and their devoted audience. Within PIXELYNX’s music platform, KORUS, BeatKOR introduces new interactive features, allowing both creators and enthusiasts to remix music from both established and emerging artists.

BeatKOR stands as the most recent addition to PIXELYNX’s collection of KORs, digital companions that empower creators and fans alike to generate AI-generated music on the KORUS platform. Earlier this month, PIXELYNX unveiled GenKOR, the initial public version of these KORs. GenKOR enabled fans to remix fresh content from mau5trap artists like Lamorn, Speaker Honey, and Volaris, allowing them to save up to 10 of their remixed tracks for free. With the introduction of GenKOR, users gained the capability to purchase and download their own tracks, initiating the development of their artist portfolio and facilitating the sharing of their creations with other users. The launch of BeatKOR accompanies new features designed to enhance this creative experience.

“BeatKOR empowers artists who choose to share their stem files with fans, granting fans the freedom to explore their creativity through remixing,” explained Robb McDaniels, CEO of The Beatport Group. “Artists are the lifeblood of the music industry, so empowering them to shape the narrative of this new era of artist-fan collaboration, while safeguarding their rights, lies at the core of our philosophy with BeatKOR and all our endeavors at Beatport.”

“There is currently much speculation about how AI will impact musicians, especially concerning whether it will disrupt artists’ livelihoods and weaken the connection between artists and fans. Our partnership with Beatport is ushering in a new format of personalized music experiences that seek to empower artists and enhance the value of their music directly within their community. BeatKOR has arrived,” stated Inder Phull, CEO of PIXELYNX.

The KOR companions assist users in creating new compositions using officially licensed music stems and tracks known as Artist DNA. After the reveal, PIXELYNX will unveil the BeatKOR collection on September 13, featuring officially licensed stems and tracks from renowned artists, including Jitwam, Elle Shimada, Brux, and others.

Users will be able to craft their personalized remixes and engage more deeply with their preferred music communities by participating in activities such as voting, trading, remixing, and sharing music. Users can even choose to “own” their songs by officially placing them on the blockchain, granting them commercial rights to release and utilize their music in novel ways. KORUS will also assist users in distributing their music to DSPs with support from official partners.

To acquire a BeatKOR, users can visit PIXELYNX’s KORUS website, where they can commence remixing, saving, and downloading their newly created outputs to share with fellow creators within the KORUS ecosystem.

Beatport.io will bring electronic music to Web3, giving fans access to exclusive collectibles and interactive experiences with artists and labels.

Beatport, the global leader in electronic music for DJs, producers, and their fans, is joining forces with Polkadot, the next-generation blockchain network powering the movement for a better web, to launch Beatport.io, a digital collectible marketplace bringing electronic music culture to Web3. Developed and designed in partnership with Define Creative, Beatport.io will launch on Aventus, a Web3 solutions provider for enterprises and parachain in the Polkadot ecosystem.

Marking Beatport’s first permanent home in the Web3 space, this platform will enable record labels and artists to create and sell unique digital assets while generating greater fan engagement. It will allow artists, producers, and record labels to enjoy the benefits of Web3, while also giving music fans an opportunity to explore the value of digital collectibles and deepen their connection to their favourite artists and DJs.

“The electronic music community has always been at the forefront of cultural shifts and their early embrace of Web3 and all the promise it offers is no different. To usher in a new era for the electronic music space, we felt it was important to join forces with a trusted, long-time leader in the blockchain space. Polkadot’s open and interoperable ecosystem enables us to seamlessly tap into Web3 and celebrate electronic music by connecting fans with their favorite artists in unique and powerful new ways.”

Ed Hill, SVP of Beatport’s Media Group, said:

“Many in the music industry are keen to discover ways in which Web3 can better support them. This initiative with Beatport and Aventus is a perfect example of the potential for Web3 to elevate the craft of artists. We’re excited to see this application of Polkadot’s technology to better connect artists directly with their fans and reignite the collectible aspect of music fandom that has largely been lost in the age of digital media.”

Björn Wagner, CEO of Parity Technologies, a leading contributor to the Polkadot network, said:

These digital collectibles will also in some cases become a fan engagement tool for artists and labels by providing early access to bonus features such as unreleased tracks, discounted tickets, and access to global events and interactive experiences. On a technical level, the NFTs will be distributed via Aventus, a blockchain built on Polkadot that helps established enterprises deliver Web3 use cases from their wide suite of modular and composable products.

“The Web3 revolution has created incredible new avenues for artists to regain autonomy and engage their fans. There is immense opportunity in this market to provide fans access to a variety of new content streams, creating communities with loyalty unlike anything we’ve seen before, and for the artists to reap the majority of the return. We’re thrilled to be a part of this important endeavor for the music industry.”

Alan Vey, Founder & CEO of Aventus, the Polkadot parachain on which the NFT marketplace will be built, added:

In addition to launching Beatport.io, Beatport and Polkadot will also collaborate on 10 major events over the next 18 months. Each event will celebrate the launch of a new NFT collection accessible via Polkadot-integrated wallets. The events will be produced by Beatport and will take place alongside major music and Web3 events.

For almost two decades, The Beatport Group has been at the centre of DJ culture. With catalogues comprising more than 16 million tracks and existing relationships with over 91,000 record labels, the company is a household name for anyone who knows electronic music.
