Indira Paganotto drops Part 1 of ARTCORE’s Next VA Ahead of Off Sonar Showcase

There’s no stopping globe-trotting PSYMAMA Indira Paganotto at present!

Her ARTCORE event series has been drawing sell-out crowds across Europe, captivating audiences with her unique blend of psy trance and techno, a style she affectionately dubs “WARRIORS.” Over the past year, her fans have enjoyed a plethora of special releases. Following her debut collaboration with Joseph Capriati, Indira is now set to release a new VA this June, the second compilation since ARTCORE’s inception.

Part 1 of this VA is set to drop on June 26th, featuring nine brand-new tracks from nine debuting artists on ARTCORE. This compilation promises an eclectic mix of vocal samples paired with a tantalizing array of electronic styles.

The opening track, “Dias De Fiesta” by Buenos Aires-born, Australia-based Scifo, is an emotionally charged, psy-infused delight. Scifo cleverly chops the famous Arrola vocal from the 90s dance classic “Dreaming” to fit rapid-fire drumming while preserving the original’s Latin trance charm. Slovakia’s Samuel Andrášik follows with “Return to Zero,” which uses powerful accelerating tempos and tense, foreboding synths to create an eerie, choir-like chant before returning to its original sonic palette.

The Hamburg duo ANDATA cranks up the intensity with “Bianca Rambo,” transitioning from breezy clicks and sultry vocals to a thrashing, rock-guitar led breakdown. As the VA reaches its midpoint, Italians Gray Cosmo introduces a wave of progressive nuance, steering away from the early psy-spliced-techno chaos with mystical phonics and cosmic musicality. Swiss artist Chris Morgan, head of Afterparty in Paradise label, brings Middle Eastern inspiration on “Serenum,” blending enthralling vocals with gentle sitar strumming before adding a galloping, pulsing bass.

Emerging Belgian starlet Marhu delivers “Bansuri,” a vocal-heavy, crisply produced track with delightful pan-pipe overtones and motorized percussion. Roni Martinez’s “Desertica” stands out as the hardest cut on the VA, with its intense, squat-party energy and whispering, goosebump-inducing lyrics intertwined with pneumatic drum rolls. Arytmia’s “Fortress” evokes sci-fi imagery with its dark, droning pads and battle-ready percussion. Serbian producer FORBIDDEN roars in with “Keep The Faith,” featuring a fierce, bass-driven melody. Lastly, Italian producer CHRS, the only returning artist on this VA, contributes “Mental Groovy,” embodying ARTCORE’s ethos with hyperactive melodies, piercing sirens, and an outrageous Wu-Tang vocal sample.

Roni Martinez’s music is a reflection of his personal experiences and current inspirations. His authenticity and diversity ensure that each track is unique. His work has been supported by notable artists like Indira Paganotto, Amelie Lens, AnD, and Denis Dekay. Martinez’s sets, influenced by his experiences in Berlin and Mexico, are journeys built from various genres and energies, creating a unique experience for his audience at every performance. Recently, he has enjoyed successful shows in Argentina and Chile.
