One of the most exciting parts of the MELT Festival every year is the diverse and uniquely crafted Autoscooter stage. Rich with some of the most innovative local and global talent, it’s quickly becoming one of the most sought-after festival stages in the calendar.

MELT has been a magnetic force for a quarter of a century, drawing the world’s hottest artists and bands along with thousands of passionate music enthusiasts and trendsetters to the City of Iron Ferropolis, nestled between Berlin and Leipzig in Germany. Here, against the backdrop of dormant coal excavators, by the shores of a serene lake, and within lush forests, they unite to celebrate the rich tapestry of music and culture, immersing themselves from Thursday to Sunday. Amid the juxtaposition of quiet and loud, mainstream and subculture, zeitgeist and future, they dance in harmony, escaping the monotony of everyday life.

Over 150 meticulously curated artists and bands provide the perfect soundtrack. The artists create a canvas for indulgent enjoyment, extraordinary encounters, and hedonism and discoveries. In a musical landscape unrivalled in Europe, attendees witness highly exclusive shows, uncover their newfound favourites, and witness the future unfolding in the present.

Whether it’s the groundbreaking sounds of James Blake.., the retro love of Sugababes, the electrifying energy of DJ Koze, the lyrical prowess of Skepta, or the soulful melodies of Romy, they all and many more have contributed their unique essence to this remarkable place.

Speaking on the festival Florian Czok, festival director explains:

At MELT 2024, we will once again showcase the diversity of the musical and cultural zeitgeist: Featuring many artists from different genres, styles and cultural backgrounds, all playing in a gathering of curious and like-minded people.

Nonetheless, electronic music is at the heart of the festival. German hype acts like Marlon Hoffstadt & Malugi, DJ Heartstring, who will all curate a whole stage with their event series for a day, and international ones like ANOTR and X Club., or legends like Honey Dijon, DJ Koze, Bonobo with his DJ- and KI/KI with her live-set, are only a few of many that will showcase their art in unique, fitting and picture-perfect settings. Additional world premieres like Marcel Dettmann b2b VTSS and DJ Mell G b2b Helena Hauff, besides many more exciting things yet to be announced, prove: MELT is the unrivalled home for forward-thinking electronic music in Germany!
