Deuce & Charger drop ‘Lies’ on Lost Together Music

Share

Deuce & Charger bring the summer vibes early with the tropical rhythms and sunshine-soaked analogue synths and vocals on their new single ‘Lies’. The duo had a massive 2019 with the double-hit of summer anthem ‘We Are Made Of Light’ and ‘Pressure’, their Spotify editorial and BBC Introducing supported dancefloor collaboration with Toronto Is Broken (Viper, YANA Music). Deuce & Charger continue this upwards trajectory in 2020 by following their Spotify Run ‘n’ Bass, Apple Breaking Dance and Global Dance playlisted DJ-favourite ‘Stay Tonight’ and with the irresistible ‘Lies’.

Bursting into life with a jungle break and timeless-sounding synth riff, the intro filters down to a verse of syncopated tribal percussion and interlocking analogue synth stabs and arpeggios. A smooth vocal glides over the top with a lyrical message of assured female empowerment. The addictive chorus vocal hook then builds to a crescendo of kick drums and risers, ending with a brief “la, la, la, la, la, lies” a cappella, before crashing into a euphoric, dancefloor moving drop.

With tracks on leading labels such as Viper, Liquicity and Technique, and the launch of their own Lost Together Music in 2019, ‘Lies’ continues a huge 2020 for Deuce & Charger. The duo has built on key tastemaker support from the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Rene La Vice, DJ Mag and Mixmag, as well as Spotify and Apple Music editorial playlistings, and features on many music blogs and websites.
