Angry Silhouette: A new chapter for Raze.D

Raze.D, the latest artistic identity of D.Ramirez, presents Angry Silhouette, a bold and introspective album out now on Dreamwave. Across 10 expertly crafted tracks, he moves beyond his club-focused legacy to explore deeply personal songwriting, stepping into a world where his own voice takes centre stage for the first time.
With over 30 years in electronic music, the Ivor Novello-nominated producer has been a defining force, shaping global dance music with seminal releases and era-defining remixes. Now, as Raze.D, he embarks on his most personal project to date. Angry Silhouette is rooted in his Sheffield upbringing, heavily influenced by 80s pioneers like Human League, ABC, and Cabaret Voltaire. The album was born during the pandemic, a period that allowed him to reconnect with his early years as a singer and explore the more introspective side of his creativity.
The album’s sonic landscape blends elements of Depeche Mode’s dark synth energy, Ultravox’s grandeur, and the emotional depth of modern alt-rock. Lyrically, it tackles themes of technology’s growing grip on society, social media’s psychological effects, and self-worth in an increasingly digital world.
As Raze.D explains, “It’s about reflection and confronting the world we live in. It’s my way of offering a new sound that feels authentic to both where I have come from and where I am now. This music is 100% me. The singing, songwriting, production and mixing – every beat and note is mine. Just my vision, my truth. It’s raw, it’s all personal, it’s all me.”
From the driving bass and urgent synths of Overload to the cinematic closer Do You Feel The Same, Angry Silhouette is a rich, immersive body of work. It signals an exciting new era for Raze.D—one where his artistic vision is fully realised.
