D.Ramirez lands on Deep Tech Los Angeles with ‘Psycho’

Share

The word pioneer is used far too freely within the electronic dance music circles. There’s no shadow of a doubt that D.Ramirez holds that status loud and clear. He has used a variety of pseudonyms including The Lisa Marie Experience (with Neil Hynde), Cordial, Finger Fest, and Rambo. His highest standing in the mainstream music scene was his remix of Bodyrox’s “Yeah Yeah”, which earned him an Ivor Novello Award nomination.

Nowadays his tracks are few and far between and always receive precious warmth from his fellow peers. ‘Psycho’ is an acid-tinged 909 infested peak time work out. We asked Dean about the thought process behind the track to which he replied “I thought it was time to bring back the late 80’s Hip House vibe”

A no-nonsense heavy hitter ready to be road-tested by your good self. Check it out below and grab it here.

On Tuesday 17th March join Deep Tech Los Angeles and Dock Records at the C-Level Rooftop of the Cleveland South Beach Hotel for a showcase for a smörgåsbord of THICC Beats! For more info head here

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
