5 Artists You Cannot Miss at The 2024 Texas Eclipse Festival

Share

The Texas Eclipse Festival is right around the corner. Happening April 4th-8th outside of Austin Texas with six stages of music, immersive art installations, wellness and science workshops, there is guaranteed to be something for everyone. We’ve compiled the artists that we’ve determined that you cannot miss when attending the Texas Eclipse Festival.

Skream

Skream’s 4 Hour Dubstep Set (Eclipse Stage)

If you’re new to dubstep, Skream might not be as familiar of a name to you as Skrillex, but Skream has a storied career as one of the originators of dubstep with records such as “Midnight Request Line” and “Rutten” still getting rinsed out to this day by bass music DJs. Not one to be bound by genre’s time saw Skream move to more 4×4 dance sounds. If you never had the opportunity to see Skream play a dubstep set, you cannot miss these 4 hours of bassweight.

Christian Martin (Sky Stage / Moon Stage )

Christian Martin joined DT Radio Resident, HRVST, on “The Slabbed Out Sesh” to give a little taste of what to expect from his two sets at the Texas Eclipse Festival.

In his own words, “Texas Eclipse is the first festival where I’m booked to play two genres on two stages, so I wanted to put together something extra special in anticipation. This is the first mix I’ve ever made where I started in the middle (the 126-174 bpm Ms. Fat Booty edit) and worked my way in both directions. The result is a snapshot of all the tunes I’m loving at the moment, old and new. Can’t wait to rock the Sky & Moon stages in April!!”

LP Giobbi (Sky Stage)

One of the co-founders of Femme House, a platform for creating opportunities for women, gender-expansive, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+  creatives in the technical and behind the scenes areas of music, LP Giobbi is a mastermind behind the decks. This technical prowess has taken her around the world to grace stages from the West Coast of California to Athens and Madrid. If you’ve not experienced an LP Giobbi set, be prepared for a sonic journey.

Govinda (Earth Stage)

One for the ethereal bass heads, if you’re a fan of Lindsey Sterling’s violin performances, Govinda is going to be right up your alley. Govinda’s live performances are a primordial concoction of digital bass and organic cosmic melodies that fill one with emotion and gritty grooves.

Seth Troxler (Sky Stage)

Right from the word go, Seth has been as passionate about food and contemporary art as he is about music, and these two interests have resonated at all points, and in parallel, to his music career. A multi-faceted modern artist: he has held residencies at talismanic music institutions, pursued his own solo recording career (including a nomination for a Grammy in 2023 for his collaboration with Diplo), and of course there are the remixes for The Streets, Hercules & Love Affair, and Carl Craig, to name just three. Seth’s performance on the Sky Stage at the Texas Eclipse Festival is definitely a must-experience clinical in dance music.

With over 100 different musical acts across six stages, the 2024 Texas Eclipse Festival has a lot more in store than what we’ve laid out here.

Tickets and camping passes are still available and can be purchased here.
