Share

The gang over at Transparent Audio, are not just honoured to be hosting their next release from this artist but also being able to call him one of the label’s essential artists, the main himself Geostatic. He joins the imprint with his new EP entitled ‘Bad Prophecy’.

After his introduction to the label with his vibey liquid roller ‘Conviction’ earlier in the year, many of you may have seen Geostatic associated with the label already. Since then, the artist has been crafting his latest project behind the scenes. Expect nothing less than that deep, minimal, sub rattling Geostatic signature sound, with a special appearance from fellow Austrian producer Screamarts on remix duties.

Geostatic who hails from Graz, Austria encountered his first contact with the dance music spectrum back in 2010 when his older brother introduced him to Drum & Bass and instantly knew electronic music would play a huge role in his life. But his path was made clear a few years later at Urban Art Forms Festival, hearing the sounds or Alix Perez, Chase & Status and many more. The experience led to discovering new artists and sub-genres within the scene which developed a new found hobby, we all know and love – DJing. It took him several years to master his style and sound which he is known for today, deep minimalistic sonics, stripped back drums to melancholic vibes. Geostatic has seen huge support over the past year with releases under this belt from Delta9, EKOU and Forbidden Frequencies, you lot aren’t ready for what we have planned for the future!

Not forgetting praise to fast-emerging producer Screamarts for working his magic to flip one of Geostatic’s original tracks. Known for his dark, melodic and experimental sound, this highly technical artist has sent waves through the Austrian Drum & Bass scene over the last few years, and now he is receiving increasing interest from across Europe for his minimal and tech-driven flavours of music.

Today we premiere ‘Putresence’ which you can check out below. The ‘Bad Prophecy’ EP drops via Transparent Audio on 24th September. Make sure you grab yourself a copy from the purchase button beneath the Soundcloud player!
