Tromino drops Infectious ‘You Move Me / Jack The Beats’ EP

West Midlands producer and DJ Tromino returns with his latest electrifying release, the ‘You Move Me / Jack The Beats’ EP, available now. True to his signature style, Tromino delivers two tracks that rise above the noise, blending the best of Detroit techno, Chicago house, and acid into a perfectly crafted sonic journey.

Tromino’s self-coined “power of 3” philosophy is on full display here. A tromino—a geometric principle—features three essential parts, which Tromino applies musically, uniting genres to create something greater than their individual components.

With supporters like Da La Swing, Joyce Muniz, Cevin Fisher, Nic Fanciulli, and Jamie Jones, Tromino’s ability to deliver innovative, floor-filling tracks is undeniable.

The first track, ‘You Move Me’, is a tribal house masterpiece. Driven by a high-tempo beat and deep, rumbling bass, it layers hypnotic percussion patterns that roll and build, teasing listeners with a restrained yet tantalizing synth riff. Minimal vocal samples enhance the groove without overshadowing the percussive brilliance.

“A rolling, tribal affair with a hint of tech, perfect at both regular and higher tempos, blending tech and techno effortlessly.”

Tromino describes it as

Then comes ‘Jack The Beats’, an ode to Jackin’ House that channels pure nostalgia while feeling utterly contemporary. With its pounding drumline, bouncing bass, and infectious vocal sample, it hooks dancers from the first bar. Old-school synths and tweaked high lines elevate the energy, creating a track that feels as if it emerged straight from the golden era of house music.

“Classic drum and bass sounds with a Tromino twist,” the artist notes, “complete with wonky effects and an irresistible build-up.”

The You Move Me / Jack The Beats EP is a beacon for the dancefloor this winter. Both tracks are instant classics that will set New Year’s Eve parties alight, with Tromino showcasing his impeccable ability to balance innovation with timeless dance music.

With more releases planned for 2025 and a spot in Bill Brewster’s How to DJ Properly alongside legends like Carl Cox, Tromino is solidifying his place as one of electronic music’s most exciting talents.
