Charis debuts on Phase Records DNB with ‘Ascension’ EP

Phase Records DNB is excited to announce a special release—a true family affair! Charis, the resident DJ known for her stealthy approach, is making her debut with her first-ever EP titled ‘Ascension’.

Fresh from a release on Incurzion and after completing EQ50’s mentorship program, where legends from Shogun Audio guided her, Oxford-based Charlotte is a rising name you’ll want to keep on your radar. Her keen sense for musicality and precision is on full display in the ‘Ascension’ EP, marking her arrival with a bang. This release is sure to make waves in the drum and bass scene!

“Isn’t Charlotte all about liquid?”—yes, she is. But she also knows how to bring that gritty, rolling groove too!

The EP opens with the title track, a solid, trippy, and futuristic roller. Pulsating synths and dreamy atmospheres blend with crisp drum patterns to set the tone for what’s to come. Next up is ‘Obligated,’ a minimal and edgy track featuring resident MC Vispera on the mic. This one screams female empowerment, and we’re all here for it! Rounding off the EP is ‘Lost Lover,’ where Charis teams up with Dapreme and rising vocal star Lauren Walton. Full of emotion and a fierce yet graceful energy, this track wraps the EP with style and flair.
