Share

Breakout house star Daniel Orpi makes his Moon Harbour debut with the fantastically fiery ‘Muevete’ EP this autumn.

Barcelona-born, London-based Orpi has released a slew of superb tracks on labels like Four-Thirty-Two, Elrow Music and Whippin as well as dropping his own album of essential edits. His hard-hitting grooves have found favour with tastemakers like Dany Howard and he is often in the top of the Beatport tech house charts. Now playing worldwide, he serves up more of his fresh and futuristic sounds on Moon Harbour.

Up first is the brilliant ‘Muevete’, an instantly infectious cut with tightly stacked kicks and low-slung bass that sweeps up the dance floor. Smart vocals and busy percussion add extra dynamism to the drums and the whole cut has s subtle Spanish flavour that really brings the fire. ‘Verdades En Panama’ is another unique and characterful cut with plenty of South American charm, punchy drum funk and atmospheric crowd noises all run through with fresh synth details and pinging kicks that make you move.

This is a brilliant pair of cub-ready tunes from Daniel Orpi.

We premiere ‘Verdades En Panama’ on Data Transmission, check it out here and grab it here.

A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
