Stefano Ranieri announces his new album ‘Risonanza’ with the Lead Single

Share

The lead single from Stefano Ranieri’s forthcoming album, ‘Black Rain’ is a deep, groovy house cut that serves as the perfect entry point into his diverse, multifarious musical world.

Hailing from Italy, Stefano Ranieri has been producing and releasing music for around 15 years, with a sound very much rooted in – but not confined to –  soulful house. Over the years his tracks have been supported by Masters At Work, Carl Cox, Anané, Bob Sinclair and Nic Fanciulli, while his 2018 hit Less Talk was picked up by Defected for their legendary Miami album that year.

‘Black Rain’ is an urgent deep house cut, with crisp drums, a chunky bassline and snatches of vocals all combining to great effect, before a sidewinding synth comes to prominence in the break: an intriguing taste of what’s to come with his forthcoming LP.

Landing 23 July on Nulu Electronic – the label of Anané – Risonanza perfectly reflects Ranieri’s history and the legacy he brings to his art. From the rhythmic acid kiss of 1942 to the laid-back Grace Jones inspired vibe of Saulè, Stefano explores house music in all its myriad forms across 15 distinct tracks.

We premiere ‘Black Rain’ on Data Transmission, check it out here and grab it here.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
